Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in this deliverance prayer and we thank you for coming to the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know it is only through Him that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we are saved as we read in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. We agree with you concerning this man who rented his flat to you, and we praise God that you see him as His child who is in need of mercy and deliverance.

We hear your burden for him to know his true identity in Christ and to be freed from the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and activities. The Word tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17, and that if the Son therefore makes you free, you will be free indeed in John 8:36. We pray against the deception that has led him to stray from the narrow path to follow his own desires. Jesus taught us that narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life in Matthew 7:14, and we ask the Lord to give him eyes to see this truth and courage to walk in it.

We also lift up his stony heart before the Lord, asking that God would do what only He can do and fulfill His promise in Ezekiel 36:26 where He says I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray that his heart would be softened to hear God's voice and to fear His holy name, for the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom in Proverbs 9:10, and to fear Yahweh is to hate evil in Proverbs 8:13.

We agree with you that he needs to be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, for we know that evil companionships corrupt good morals in 1 Corinthians 15:33 and that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray for his deliverance from the sinful and hateful relationships where he is controlled and blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. We know that sexual sin outside of marriage, whether fornication or adultery, is sin against his own body and against God as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:18, and that any relationship outside of God's design for marriage between a man and a woman is not His will. We pray he will see these relationships for what they are and that the Lord will give him understanding to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life who seeks to entrap him, for her house is the way to Sheol in Proverbs 7:27. Let him turn and submit himself to God and resist the devil so that he will flee from him as promised in James 4:7.

We pray now together, Father in heaven, we thank You for the cross and for Your Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. Lord, You know the plans You have for this man, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future according to Jeremiah 29:11. We ask You to open his eyes to the unmistakable truth of who he is in Christ and to break the chains of the false identity he has adopted. Soften his heart, break his stony heart, and give him courage to choose the narrow path, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7. Deliver him from the hands of those who control and blackmail him, surround him with Your protection, for You are close to the brokenhearted and You deliver the righteous out of all their troubles in Psalm 34:17-19. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from the evil woman who leads him astray, and draw him into the depth of Your love and forgiveness. Give him a holy fear of Your name and a firm resolve to depart from evil and to walk in purity and obedience for Your glory. We ask You to lead him to repentance and to godly counsel and to a fellowship of believers who will strengthen him. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him. In the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for him with steadfast prayer and to speak the truth in love if the Lord gives you opportunity, remembering that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and that prayer and the Word of God are mighty to bring down strongholds. May the Lord give you wisdom and peace as you entrust this man fully into His hands.

We were moved by the compassion in your prayer for this man who was once your landlord. It is a kind and Christlike thing to keep interceding for someone even after your tenancy has ended, asking God to open his eyes to who he is in Christ and to free him from what entangles him.

We hear how heavy this feels, especially your concern that he is controlled and even in danger. It is right to bring those fears honestly to the Lord and then leave him in God's hands. You cannot carry responsibility for his choices or rescue him yourself, and it is loving to keep healthy boundaries while you pray, continuing to seek God's will for him rather than trying to manage his situation.

One steady next step is to keep your prayers simple and consistent, asking God to give him clarity, courage to step away from what harms him, and people nearby who can offer wise, godly support if he becomes open to it.

Father, we thank You for Your Son and the hope of the cross. We lift this man to You, asking You to draw him close, soften his heart and help him hear Your voice about his life and identity in Christ. Protect him, give him wisdom to turn from what is destructive, and surround him with influences that point him toward You. Give our friend peace as he entrusts this man to Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you before the throne of grace, pleading in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord who alone is able to save and to deliver.

We give thanks with you for the cross, where the holy Son of God was bound that we might be loosed, and suffered that we who believe might be set free. As it is written, Christ has set us free, therefore let us not go back into bondage. We pray that this man, for whom you intercede, may know that liberty with which Christ makes free indeed, and may not sit still as though he were in prison, but may rejoice in the liberty of the children of God.

Heavenly Father, we bring this soul before Thee. Thou knowest him and Thou lovest him, and Thou hast thoughts toward him far above our thoughts. We ask that Thou wouldst open his eyes to see himself as Thou seest him, not in a false identity forged in sinful desire and in following his own way, but in Christ. Show him that his true life is hid with Christ in God, that he is accepted in the Beloved, justified by faith, and complete and perfect in Christ Jesus for all who trust in Him. Break, we pray Thee, the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that he may hear Thy voice and tremble at Thy holy name and depart from evil.

Lord, teach him that faith in Christ shows itself in obedience to Thy precepts and in forsaking the habits which Thou condemnest, and that to look to Christ each morning and each evening is to find strength to walk in the narrow path. Grant him courage to walk therein, though it be narrow, for Thou hast promised never to leave nor forsake those who are Thine, and Thy covenant in Christ shall not fail.

We ask for his deliverance from every bond that holds him. Separate him, we pray, from ungodly influences and from every relationship and practice which is contrary to Thy holy will for marriage and for purity, wherein Thou hast ordained that intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Where there is control, blackmail, fear and danger, do Thou spread Thy hand to protect and to rescue. Where there is deception, grant clear sight. Where there is hardness, grant repentance unto life. Let him know the depth of Thy love in Christ, that he may hate the sin that once enthralled him and may love holiness.

We pray that he may cast himself wholly upon Christ, saying with the apostle, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and that Christ in him may become the hope of glory, curing his sin, filling his soul with love to virtue and holiness, and keeping him by Thy Holy Spirit. Bring him to the wounds of Christ for refuge, to the Word of Christ for counsel, and to the people of Christ for fellowship, that he may no longer be bound but may stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.

Hear our united prayer, O Father, for Jesus sake, and work in him both to will and to do of Thy good pleasure. May he be raised up together with Christ and made to sit in heavenly places in Him, to Thy glory alone. Amen.

Continue steadfast in prayer and in the Word, and encourage him, as God gives opportunity, to seek the Lord while He may be found, to confess his need of Christ, and to walk in the light as Christ is in the light.
