We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father, seeking His divine intervention and deliverance. The spirit of Jezebel is a destructive force that operates in rebellion against God’s order, sowing discord, manipulation, and hardness of heart. We recognize the seriousness of this spiritual battle and stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every evil power.
First, we must address the hardness of heart that has taken root. Scripture warns us in Hebrews 3:12-13, *"Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called ‘today,’ lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."* A heart hardened toward God’s will is a heart in desperate need of repentance and softening by the Holy Spirit. We pray that the Lord would break through this resistance, removing every veil of deception and pride that blinds the eyes to His truth.
The spirit of Jezebel thrives in environments where God’s design for marriage is disregarded or distorted. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God as a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We stand in agreement with this truth, resisting every work of darkness and declaring that God’s light will penetrate every area of darkness in this situation.
For the one who has been separated, we pray for a renewed heart—a heart that is fully surrendered to God’s will. Ezekiel 36:26 promises, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you.
