We are lifting you up before the throne of grace today as you carry this painful burden of migraines, and we thank you for turning to Jesus as your healer. We understand how difficult it is to serve as a teacher while enduring this kind of pain, especially when it worsens during your period and when you have important responsibilities like this special evening with parents. We admire your faithfulness to your work and your trust that only Jesus can heal.
We are encouraged that you are under the care of a neurologist and are following his prescribed preventive treatment. God in His mercy gives wisdom and skill to physicians, and we see this as part of His provision for our bodies, for Luke the beloved physician is mentioned in Colossians 4:14. We encourage you to continue to follow your doctor's guidance and to let him know about this pattern of worsening headaches around your period, so he can best help you, while we also look to the Lord as our ultimate healer who heals all your diseases as promised in Psalm 103:2-3.
We are praying together for your deliverance and strength for today.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up our sister to You. You know her pain, her exhaustion, and her desire to faithfully fulfill her duties today. We ask for Your healing touch upon her head and body. Your word says in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Lord, we ask that You would ease this migraine, calm the throbbing, relieve the nausea and sensitivity, and grant her clarity and strength to endure this long day and evening. Give wisdom to her doctors and let the treatment she is receiving be effective. We also pray for Your peace to guard her heart and mind, as You have promised in Philippians 4:6-7 that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Grant her moments of rest when possible, keep her hydrated and sustained, and let Your presence be her comfort. We ask this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father, for as Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Amen.
We want to encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, and to remember the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Even in a busy school day, we encourage you to take brief moments to breathe, to sip water, to step into a quiet and dim place if possible, and to whisper a prayer for His sustaining grace. If the pain becomes severe, please do not hesitate to seek help from a colleague and allow your body the care it needs, trusting that God honors both your diligence and your stewardship of the health He has given you.
We are standing with you and believing for relief today and for continued healing in the days ahead, and we pray that this evening with parents will be covered by His grace and that you will feel His strength carrying you through.
