Deliverance, job, children education

Disciple of Prayer
Something is hiding my progress.have lived a life of strangles,my children not doing well in school,no stable job,my heart is bleeding.kindly pray for me.

We hear the deep pain and struggle in your words, and our hearts ache with yours. The weight of stagnation, the burden of unmet needs, and the sorrow over your children’s struggles are heavy to carry alone. But we stand with you before the throne of grace, believing that God sees your tears and hears your cries. The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us bring these burdens to the Lord together, trusting Him to break every chain and restore what has been lost.

First, we must address the spiritual oppression you describe, something "hiding your progress." The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). If you have not already, we urge you to examine your life for any open doors to the enemy, unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, generational curses, or involvement in occult practices (even unknowingly). These can give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). We rebuke every spirit of stagnation, poverty, and confusion in the name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus cleanses and breaks every curse (Galatians 3:13-14). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

For your job and provision, we pray that God would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). The Lord is your provider (Genesis 22:14), and He knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8). We ask Him to reveal His purpose for your work, whether it be a new opportunity, a season of preparation, or a call to trust Him in the waiting. If fear or doubt has crept in, we cast it down in Jesus’ name. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7).

For your children’s education, we pray for wisdom and favor. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." We ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment in guiding them and to soften their hearts toward learning. If there are spiritual attacks against their minds, distraction, laziness, or rebellion, we break those assignments now. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that God has a plan for their future (Jeremiah 29:11).

But most of all, we must ask: Have you placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no deliverance, no peace, and no true progress apart from Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to true freedom.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we ask You to break every chain of stagnation, poverty, and confusion in their life. We rebuke the spirit of delay and declare that Your plans for them are for good and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Father, we ask for divine provision. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give them favor with employers, wisdom in their work, and contentment in every season. For their children, we pray for focus, discipline, and a hunger for knowledge. Let their minds be sharp, and their hearts be soft toward You. Break any generational curses affecting their education, and let them rise up as arrows in the hands of a warrior (Psalm 127:4).

Lord, if there is any sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly soul tie in their life, reveal it to them. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in their life.

If they have not yet given their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Draw them by Your Spirit, and let them know the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. The enemy may have meant these struggles for harm, but God will use them for good (Genesis 50:20). Keep pressing into Him, seeking His face, and walking in obedience. The breakthrough is coming. "Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy" (Psalm 126:5). You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Stand firm, and watch Him move.

We hear the weight in your words, the sense of being tangled in something you can’t name, watching your children struggle, carrying an aching heart while stability keeps slipping away. That is a heavy load to bear, and we are sitting with you in it.

Sometimes progress feels hidden because we are in the middle of the very battle where God is working most deeply. The feeling of being "strangled" and stuck doesn’t mean He has abandoned you; it may mean you are in a season that calls for a different kind of help, the kind that comes through other believers who can pray with you and walk alongside you in the fight. If you have a pastor or a mature Christian in your life, consider inviting them into this struggle, especially for focused prayer. You do not have to carry this alone.

For your children, a simple next step could be to sit down with their teachers, not with fear but with the hope of understanding what support they might need. Sometimes a fresh perspective from school uncovers a small change that makes a big difference. And with your job situation, is there someone in your church or community who could help you think through options, look over your résumé, or connect you with an opportunity? Even one practical door can start to loosen that stuck feeling.

Please know that your heart is not bleeding unnoticed. God sees you, and He is not indifferent. We are praying into this with you now.

Jesus, we lift up our friend who feels trapped and exhausted. In Your name we command every spiritual force that seeks to block their progress to release its grip and depart. Open a door to stable, honorable work, and give wisdom for every school-related challenge their children face. Hold this family close. Let them feel Your tangible peace and hope rising again. Amen.

The thick walls that seem to bar your progress are not unknown to the God who sees in secret. You speak of a hidden thing strangling your advancement, and the word pierces, for many are God’s hidden ones, concealed for safety and for quiet, yet feeling utterly forgotten. The stoppage you perceive is no sign of His absence; it is often in the dark vault where the hidden manna is given, and the deepest work of deliverance is wrought when no eye beholds it. Your heart bleeds, and that is known to Him who bottles every tear. The cry of a parent for their children’s learning and a stable provision is not a light thing before the throne. But learn this first: deliverance is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God which showeth mercy. The lock goes desperately hard, but He hath the key. The ransom is found, not a hope to be earned by unstrangling yourself, but a gift of Divine Love, fully paid in the blood of the Lamb.

Consider Job among the ashes. The man saw ruin in his estate, death among his children, and a wife offering counsel of despair, yet in all this he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. You are tempted to think your progress is held by some mysterious hand, but what if this very strangulation is the schooling of a Father who would teach you to cease from your own strength? The archers have sorely grieved you, and you have heard the whizzing of the shaft of fear, fear for your children’s minds, fear for daily bread. Yet the noise of battle can drown out the still small voice. The testimony of the saints is this: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Before deliverance comes, the heart must often be brought to the end of all its own pleadings. When Job saw the Lord, he abhorred himself in dust and ashes, and that very repentance was the signal for his captivity to be turned. Your children’s progress and your employment are not secured by your anguished striving, but by casting the whole weight of these cares upon Him who careth for you.

The life hidden with Christ is beyond the molestation of these fears. This does not mean the battle is imaginary; it means the victory is already won in the Captain of our salvation. He brought His Israel forth with silver and gold, and He will not lead you out into a barren wilderness without provision. The work of sanctification, the deliverance from the power of darkness that hangs so heavy, is as much His work as the forgiveness of your sins. Look for it from the same pierced hand. If you could bear this by your own wit, you would rob God of the honor of deliverance. But now, your extremity is His opportunity. The hidden ones are not hidden from His eye; that hot tear lifting your eyelid is seen. Go to the throne not as a desperate manager trying to fix a broken machine, but as a child yielding to a Father’s wise schooling. The education of your children and the sufficiency of your table are within His charge. Rest upon the finished work, and declare with the patient patriarch, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” The glad song of deliverance is tuned to the key of Free Grace alone.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not think your present barrenness is a sign of God’s absence. Consider how the Lord trains those He loves. When He is on the point of removing our terrors, He often brings upon us worse things, more alarming to the eye, instructing us to be ready to endure. This He did with Job; just before his deliverance, the trial grew more grievous, with the reproaches of his friends. With Jacob, when rescue from his affliction was near, his trouble was awakened and aggravated, his brother’s coming suspended over him the extremest danger. This very thing which you call a strangling, this thing that hides your progress, may be the final and sharpest edge of the training before your promotion. The heart bleeds? It is the surgery of the Great Physician, cutting to heal.

You ask for deliverance, and rightly so, for deliverance from evil and supply of good are the very objects of Christ’s Incarnation. Yet mark this: there is a deliverance that men refuse, that they might obtain a better resurrection. When it was open to some to live, why did they not choose it? They were evidently looking for a better life. The Lord does not always promise deliverance from the temporal death of a job or a child’s worldly success; He permits these deaths, granting us more than if He had allowed no suffering, because persuading a soul to despise earthly ruin is far greater than smoothing the earthly path. You see now, He does not push us into dangers without purpose, but sets us above them, fixing in our minds the doctrines of the immortal soul.

Therefore, be not crushed by the faltering steps of your children or the instability of your work. You seek a sign of progress? Here is the true commonwealth of Heaven manifested on earth: a soul clinging to God when every earthly prop gives way. The wisdom of this world is children’s toys; the truth is endurance in the promises of God. Even if you feel unworthy, learn from the Canaanitish woman. Though she heard the word "dogs," she persevered, and that very perseverance made her worthy to receive the children’s bread. The Lord’s own mother waited by, bringing the servants, multiplying the voices of need.

So let your bleeding heart be the loud, persistent cry that will not let Him go. Do not measure progress by the filling of a purse or the grades of a child, but by the soul’s grip upon Christ in the storm. He pays what is due to the promise made to Abraham; you are being promoted to the sonship which receives the Spirit of adoption. The strangling you feel is the grip of the old man dying, that the new might rise. Stand firm, let perseverance have its perfect work, and you shall be made worthy to receive the bread of deliverance, a better resurrection than any mere mending of outward fortunes could ever be.

The cry of your heart is heard. That feeling of being strangled, of progress hidden, it is a deep and painful weight. Many have walked in that wilderness, looking at their own children struggling and their livelihood insecure, and they have cried out, “My heart is bleeding.” That very pain can become the place where God does His deepest work, because He responds to a broken and contrite heart. He does not despise it.

When life feels like a series of dead ends, it is time to examine the heart. The Scriptures say to keep the heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. A pattern of “strangles” often points not just to outward circumstances, but to an inward motivation that needs to be made right. We can chase goals for our children, success, a good education, a stable career, and find those goals are purely pagan if they sit above the one true goal: that they walk with the Lord. If my heart is set on the world’s definition of progress, God in His mercy may block that path until my heart turns fully to Him. He is looking for a heart that is not divided, a heart that is not feigning loyalty while lusting after the world.

Consider the account of Pharaoh. Time and again, he hardened his own heart against the Lord. The word used there means he made his own heart heavy and resistant. Then, after he had done this repeatedly, the Lord hardened his heart, a different word meaning God made it firm, stiffened it in its chosen rebellion, so that His signs and wonders might be multiplied for deliverance. God will not force you into a hard heart against your will, but if you continue to resist His gentle pull, there comes a point where He may firm you in that path to awaken you through the very trouble that follows. The squeeze you are feeling may be His hand, pressing you to release the worldview that has held you captive.

Your children’s struggles and the lack of a stable job are not random cruelties. They are often the heavy tools God uses to turn a parent’s heart. The Lord laments that if only we would have a heart toward Him, then it might be well with us and our children forever. For a child, foolishness is bound up in their heart, but the rod of correction will drive it out. This is true in a home, and it is true in God’s household. The “rod” you feel in your finances and family life is not meant to destroy you but to drive out a deeper foolishness, a reliance on anything other than God Himself. Lift up your hands toward Him for the life of your young children. Pour out your heart like water before His face.

The aim for your children must shift. It is not wrong to want them to do well in school, but the primary prayer and effort must be that they learn to know God, serve God, and walk with Him. That is the inheritance that cannot be taken. You cannot pass on what you do not possess. God commanded that His words be in your heart first, and then you are to teach them diligently to your children, speaking of them as the center of your household. If the pursuit of mere education and career has crowded out that conversation, the foundation will crumble. Children become victims of a world that no longer protects them, but they are also burdened when parents prioritize the world’s benchmarks over the knowledge of God.

The new covenant cannot be broken because it is a work of the heart. The Lord your God must circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants to love Him with all that you are, so that you may truly live. This is not about outward rituals or a surface-level revival that only pretends to turn. God is looking for that inward change, that longing to live and walk after the Spirit in purity. When you are brought low, like Jacob, a broken man facing an uncertain dawn, you are finally ready to stop wrestling in your own strength and cling to God for the blessing.

Do not look at your circumstances and say in your heart, “I will have peace even though I walk in the stubbornness of my own imagination.” Turn from that. Let the bleeding of your heart become a cry for a new heart. As you seek deliverance, seek first a heart in tune with God. The true deliverance, the deliverance from the bondage of sin and a self-directed life, is what He accomplished through the body broken for us. When that inward work is done, the outward stranglehold loosens. Pray for your children not just for better grades, but that they would be held by God and pass from a knowledge in the mind to a covenant in the heart. That is the work God promises to do, and it is a covenant that cannot fail.
