We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for your relative who has been ensnared in the darkness of witchcraft for four decades. The Scriptures are clear that such practices are an abomination to God, for He commands in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, one who interprets omens, one who is a sorcerer, one who charms, one who consults a spiritist, one who is a necromancer, or one who inquires of the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* This is not a path of power but of bondage, and we know that Satan’s only desire is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet our God is greater, and His desire is to save, redeem, and restore!
Your relative’s actions—casting spells, manipulating others, lying, and causing harm—are not just human failings but the fruit of a life surrendered to demonic influence. The enemy has used her as a tool of destruction, but we declare that *no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper* (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any curse, hex, or spell, and we stand on the authority of His name to break every chain. As it is written in Colossians 2:15, *"Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* Jesus has already disarmed the enemy, and we claim that victory now over this stronghold!
We also recognize that witchcraft is often rooted in deep spiritual deception and unhealed wounds. Your relative may have been lured into these practices through pain, bitterness, or a search for control in a broken world. But God’s Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that *"the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."* Our prayer is not only for deliverance but for her eyes to be opened to the truth—that Jesus is the only way to freedom (John 8:32). There is no power in spells or incantations, but *there is power in the name of Jesus* to break every curse and set the captive free!
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11). We lift up this relative who has been bound by the lies and darkness of witchcraft for far too long. Lord, You see the destruction she has caused and the lives she has hurt, but we ask that You would have mercy on her soul. Break the power of every familiar spirit, every demonic assignment, and every curse that has been spoken or enacted through her hands. We bind the spirit of witchcraft in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip on her life (Matthew 18:18).
Father, we ask that You would send Your holy angels to surround her, to restrain the enemy’s influence, and to create divine appointments that lead her to the truth. Soften her heart, Lord, and let conviction fall upon her like a weight she cannot ignore. Expose the emptiness of the enemy’s promises and reveal to her the love and forgiveness found only in Christ. Let her encounter Your presence in a way that shatters the deception and draws her to repentance.
We also pray for protection over those who have been harmed by her actions. Heal the wounds, restore what has been stolen, and break any generational curses that may have taken root. Let Your justice and Your mercy meet in this situation, Lord. We declare that *no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper* (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every assignment of the enemy against this family in Jesus’ name.
Most of all, Father, we ask that You would save her. Let this be the hour of her deliverance, the moment she turns from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God (Acts 26:18). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and give her a new heart, one that seeks after You alone. We trust in Your power to redeem even the most broken of lives, for You are the God who specializes in impossibilities (Luke 1:37).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

To you who have brought this request before us: we encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that *the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s* (2 Chronicles 20:15). Continue to pray fervently, but also be wise. Witchcraft often invites retaliation when its power is threatened, so cover yourself and your family in the blood of Jesus daily. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and do not engage in fear, for *God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind* (2 Timothy 1:7).
If you have not already, we urge you to seek out mature, spirit-filled believers or a pastor who can stand with you in prayer and provide godly counsel. There is power in corporate prayer (Matthew 18:19-20), and you do not have to face this alone. Lastly, be prepared for God to move in unexpected ways—He may bring conviction through dreams, visions, or even through the consequences of her actions. Trust that He is working, even when you cannot see it.
Stay steadfast, and may the Lord grant you peace as you wait on Him. He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun (Philippians 1:6).
