We join with you in lifting up your husband and family before the Lord, standing in agreement for his mind, heart, and protection against the schemes of the enemy. Your prayer reflects a deep love for your husband and a desire to see him walk in the fullness of God’s will, and we commend you for seeking the Lord so fervently. The battle for the mind is real, and the enemy seeks to distort thoughts, stir up anxiety, and plant seeds of division, but we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Let us turn to Scripture to anchor our prayers and declarations, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
The apostle Paul urges us in Philippians 4:6-8, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report—if there is any virtue or praise—think about these things."* This is our prayer for your husband, that his mind would be guarded by the peace of God and filled with thoughts that align with heaven. We also declare Romans 12:2 over him: *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."*
Your prayer also highlights the very real spiritual warfare taking place, particularly through the actions of your husband’s sister. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we are not left defenseless. James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We must resist the enemy’s attacks with the authority we have in Christ, and we must also forgive and pray for those who seek to harm us, even as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44: *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean we ignore her actions or fail to set boundaries, but we trust God to handle the vengeance and justice, for He says in Romans 12:19, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"*
We also note your prayer for protection over your family, finances, and marriage. These are areas the enemy often targets, but we declare Psalm 91 over you: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday."* The Lord is your protector, and no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her husband before Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would guard her husband’s mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Renew his mind, Lord, and fill it with Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your love. Let every thought be captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Remove any anxiety, fear, or confusion, and replace it with clarity, faith, and a deep trust in You. Strengthen him to resist temptation and to walk in self-control, guided by Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we also lift up the spiritual warfare taking place in this family. We bind every scheme of the enemy seeking to bring division, jealousy, or harm through the actions of this sister-in-law. Father, we ask that You expose every hidden plan and bring to light the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). Let her evil intentions fail and come to nothing. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord, and let Your divine protection be a wall of fire around them (Zechariah 2:5). We pray for this sister-in-law, that You would convict her heart and draw her to repentance. Soften her heart, Lord, and let her see the error of her ways. If she refuses to turn from her wickedness, we ask that You would thwart her plans and render them powerless.
Father, we declare Your blessing and favor over this marriage, this family, and their finances. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Open doors of opportunity, Lord, and send forth godly people who will work in their favor and support them. Let Your hand of provision and protection be evident in every area of their lives. We pray for unity in their marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and that their home would be a place of peace, love, and godly influence.
Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We stand in agreement with our sister, claiming victory, deliverance, and lifelong blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your kingdom come in their lives. We ask all these things in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, sister, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith and prayer. Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), and do not grow weary in well-doing (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in your husband and your family. Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will direct your paths and bring you through this season victorious. Stay rooted in His Word, and let your home be a place where His presence dwells richly. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and most importantly, the Lord stands with you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
