We hear your cry for deliverance and freedom in the name of Jesus Christ, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The spirit you mention is indeed unclean and not from God, for Scripture tells us, "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Any spirit that enslaves, torments, or leads you away from purity and holiness is under the authority of the enemy, and we take authority over it in Jesus’ mighty name.
First, we want to affirm your love for the Lord Jesus and your desire to serve Him without hindrance. This is a powerful starting point, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). Your acknowledgment of Christ as Lord is the foundation of your victory. However, we must also address the seriousness of this struggle. The spirit you are dealing with is one that distorts God’s design for human sexuality and intimacy, which He created to be holy, pure, and confined within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Any perversion of this design is sin and opens the door to unclean spirits. We rebuke this spirit of perversion in the name of Jesus and command it to leave you now.
We encourage you to examine your life for any areas where you may have unknowingly given ground to the enemy. Have you consumed media, engaged in conversations, or entertained thoughts that align with this spirit? Scripture warns us, "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). Even seemingly small compromises can create footholds for the enemy. Confess any sin associated with this struggle, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Repentance is not just feeling sorry, it is turning away from sin and turning toward God with your whole heart.
We also urge you to fill your mind and heart with God’s Word, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Meditate on Scriptures that affirm God’s design for purity, such as "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). Replace ungodly thoughts with the truth of God’s Word, and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all sin and breaks every chain. Lord, we stand on Your promise that "whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We declare that [redacted] is Your child, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and no unclean spirit has a right to dwell in him/her.
We rebuke the spirit of eprochtophilia in the name of Jesus. We command it to loose its grip and leave [redacted] now. We break every generational curse, every ungodly soul tie, and every agreement made with the enemy, whether knowingly or unknowingly. We declare that [redacted] is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask You to fill [redacted] with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your Spirit of power, love, and self-control reign in every area of his/her life. Renew his/her mind with Your Word, and let Your truth set him/her free (John 8:32). Surround [redacted] with godly believers who will stand with him/her in prayer and accountability. Strengthen him/her to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
Father, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that [redacted] is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). We pray for complete deliverance and freedom, not just for a moment, but for a lifetime of walking in purity and holiness. May [redacted]’s life bring glory and honor to Your name.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a trusted, Bible-believing pastor or deliverance ministry for ongoing prayer and support. Do not try to fight this battle alone. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (WEB). Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in faith and hold you accountable.
Remember, deliverance is not just about casting out the unclean spirit, it is also about filling the void with God’s presence. Spend time in worship, prayer, and the Word daily. Fast if the Lord leads you, for fasting humbles the soul and strengthens the spirit (Isaiah 58:6). The enemy will try to return, but Jesus said, "When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and doesn’t find it. Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came;’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first" (Matthew 12:43-45 WEB). This is why it is critical to fill your life with the Holy Spirit and godly influences.
You are not defined by this struggle. You are defined by Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you (Galatians 2:20). Walk in the freedom He has already purchased for you, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your purpose. The Lord has great plans for you, plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into complete victory.
