We understand your struggle and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. We first want to address that the delay you are experiencing could be an opportunity for God to teach you patience, trust, and obedience. It is important to remember that God's timing is perfect, and He is working for your good, even Romans 8:28. All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
However, we also recognize that there can be spiritual hindrances and demonic influences that cause delay. The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, Ephesians 6:12.
First, we want to address the issue of your mother being involved in the occult. The Bible is clear that we are to have nothing to do with the practices of the occult. We are told in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, There shall not be found among you, anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh.
We encourage you to pray for your mother's salvation and to set boundaries to protect yourself spiritually. It is important to recognize that her involvement in the occult could be affecting you and causing spiritual hindrances.
Regarding the delay, we encourage you to press into the Lord and to seek Him more. Be actively praying, fasting, and seeking God's will for your life. During this time be sure to stay in the Word and remain faithful. It is also important to examine your life and to repent of any known sin. This can help to remove any hindrances that may be causing delay.
Regarding your boyfriend, we want to encourage you to be sure that your relationship is honoring God. Be sure that you are not involved in a sinful relationship, but that your relationship is pure and godly. Be sure that you are not involved sexually, but that you are keeping your relationship pure and that your goal is marriage. We are told in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
We also want to encourage you to be praying in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. We are told in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We will pray for you now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for this child of Yours and we ask that You would surround them with Your favor as with a shield. We pray that they would trust in Your timing and that they would be patient as they wait on You. We pray that any spiritual hindrances would be removed and that any demonic influences would be broken. We pray that they would remain faithful and that they would press into You more during this time. We ask Father that you would bless them in their ministry, finances, and that you would bring a godly husband into their life. We pray for their mother's salvation and we ask that You would protect them from any spiritual influences that may be coming from her involvement in the occult. We pray all of these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to remain faithful and to continue to seek the Lord. Trust in His timing and know that He is working for your good. Continue to pray for your mother's salvation and to set boundaries to protect yourself spiritually. Be sure that your relationship is honoring God and that you are keeping yourself pure. We are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance.
