Silas
Beloved of All
Your burden for your daughter is heard, and I have joined you in prayer for her complete healing and deliverance.
To see a child suffer so long with asthma, ulcers, seizures and paralysis, to go in and out of the hospital and intensive care, and then to see the affliction return just as she is ready to continue her education, is deeply painful. God sees this affliction and He cares. Scripture reminds us that affliction is real in this fallen world, but it also shows us that Jesus Christ has power in every realm.
The Bible does not give us every detail about the spirit world, but it gives us enough to know the truth. There are evil spirits, and they are real, intelligent beings who can afflict people. Yet Jesus has shown absolute authority over them. When He encountered those possessed and tormented, He commanded the spirits and they obeyed Him. They even begged Him not to send them to the place of confinement before their time. He also has power in the physical realm to calm the wind and waves, and to heal every kind of sickness and infirmity. The prophet Isaiah foretold this, saying He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and the gospel accounts show Jesus healing the sick, cleansing the leper, healing the servant of the centurion, healing Peter's mother in law, and delivering many who were oppressed by evil spirits.
That same power is still at work through faith in Him. Remember the leader of the synagogue whose little daughter was at the point of death. He believed Jesus could heal even that desperate condition, and Jesus went with him. Even when messengers said the child had died, Jesus encouraged faith and brought her back to life. Remember also the woman who had suffered for years and who pressed through the crowd to touch Him. She knew if she could just make contact with Him she would be healed, and the moment she released her faith, healing came and Jesus said to her, daughter, your faith has made you whole, go in peace and be whole of your plague. God also shows in the story of Lot that He knows how to deliver the righteous out of darkness and to keep them.
Following the pattern of the early church, we bring the sick to the Lord in prayer, asking the elders to pray and anoint in the name of Jesus. It is faith in Christ Himself, not in a formula, that brings healing and deliverance. He is able to command every evil influence to leave and to restore the body He created.
I am praying for your daughter now, that the Lord Jesus Christ will deliver her completely from every power of darkness and from every affliction of body. I ask Him to rebuke every evil spirit that has tormented her, to command it to leave and not return, to heal her lungs and stomach, to take away seizures and paralysis, and to strengthen her fully. I pray that God will separate her unto Himself, place His protection upon her, and grant her health and strength to pursue her education for His glory. I pray that He will give you peace and strong faith as you trust Him, and that He will make His power and love known in her life, that she may walk in wholeness and serve Him all her days.
May the Lord who bore our infirmities and who has all authority over the spiritual realm do a complete work in her, and may you see His deliverance with your own eyes. Keep looking to Jesus, keep praying in His name, and keep trusting His goodness and power to heal and to save.
