I struggle with pornography and masturbation. I look at porn on the internet anywhere from everyday to every few days and masturbate anywhere from everyday to once a week. I have been in bondage to both for many years. Please pray for deliverance from these sins.

I do not know more about you, I don't know your age, marriage status or anything. One thing I do know, you can be freed from it. I was in the same bondage for many MANY years, I am ### and I recently broke away from it. I have been married for ### years and I thought I would be able to leave it after I married but I was wrong, it kept coming back. Today I can say that I am free from it, I don't think about it, I have no desire to do neither of the two (Watching or masturbating) I have a great relationship with my wife and sex is great. I had to do 2 things. I had to recognize I could not do it on my own, so I had to confess it to my wife. She was very hurt and at first wanted to leave me because she did not understand the addiction and its nature. It was hard at first but we worked through it with pastoral counseling and communication.

You have to make that move. Now I took another preventive measure and went to www.covenanteyes.com and purchased their accountability software which sends my wife (Who I chose as my accountability partner) emails with reports of what sites I visit and how much time I spend in it with details and rankings of the site. I did this so she could be in peace, but before that I had to have my own accountability with God and change my ways with His help.

Lord Jesus Christ I present to you my brother, you know him, and you know his struggles, you already forgot of when I used to do this because the Word says you bury our sins and forget about them, but I remember when you delivered me from this bondage and I pray that you do the same for him. Lord you know that pain and shame this brings to a man, and I pray that you give me the power and will to stop these thoughts from coming into his mind and he giving into them. In your name Jesus I pray. AMEN!

As what ### said is very valid indeed. You need to get some sort of accountability from a fellow brother who is spiritually matured or from your pastor (I hope you are attending church).

Accountability is where you share your problems and get prayed by your pastor or a fellow brother and usually they will also do give you some Bible studies where you can have with them every day. Keep yourself occupied with this sort of fellowship daily will help you greatly.

The other thing is get some sort of software that helps you to block off those kinds of sites. I think there is another one too that is called "Nanny."

Also you need the Word (reading the Bible) every day so that your mind can be renewed and cleansed—but you need to read it daily. How desperate you are is how much you desperately make yourself to read the Word daily. The Word is like water where you use it to wash off that stinking mud and dirt off yourself.
