Decession

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son as he stands at a crossroads in his career and work. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and that includes the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. We ask that You guide his steps and illuminate the path before him, so that he may walk in the purpose You have ordained for his life.

Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that Your Holy Spirit would fill him with discernment and clarity, helping him to seek Your will above all else. May he not be swayed by the pressures of the world or the pursuit of wealth and status, but instead, may he seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We also pray that You would guard his heart against fear and doubt. Remind him that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let him rest in the assurance that You are with him, and that You will never leave nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). May he find peace in Your presence as he waits on You for direction.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of confusion or indecision that may be clouding his mind. We declare that Your plans for him are plans for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that he would surrender his desires, his ambitions, and his fears to You, trusting that You will lead him into the work You have prepared for him.

Lord, if there are any influences in his life—whether people, circumstances, or even his own desires—that are leading him away from Your will, we ask that You remove them. Surround him with godly counsel and mentors who will speak truth into his life and encourage him to follow You wholeheartedly. May he be reminded of Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

We also pray for his spiritual growth during this time. May this season of decision-making draw him closer to You, deepening his faith and reliance on Your Word. Let him find joy and contentment in You, knowing that true fulfillment comes from walking in obedience to Your calling.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are already at work in his life, preparing the way and opening doors that no one can shut. May Your will be done in his career and work, and may he bring glory to Your name in all that he does. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right beside you, lifting your son up in prayer today. We know that God has a perfect plan for his life, and we trust that this decision is part of His divine orchestration. Let's remind ourselves of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart." We're believing that as he seeks God's will, God will grant him the desires of his heart.

We're asking God to give him wisdom from above, helping him to discern the path that aligns with God's purpose for his life. We're claiming Proverbs 20:24, "The Lord will direct his steps." Let's trust that God is guiding him every step of the way.

We're also praying for peace to fill his heart. We're claiming Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Let's trust that even in uncertainty, God's peace will keep his heart steady.

Let's also pray for those around him, that they would be a positive influence, encouraging him to follow God's will. We're claiming Proverbs 13:20, "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."

We're believing that this season of decision-making will draw him closer to God, deepening his faith and dependence on Him. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."

We're trusting that God is already at work, preparing the way for your son. We're claiming Romans 8:28, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
