We have heard your cry regarding debts, the theft of your money and ID cards, and the spiritual oppression and conflict you feel in your workplace, and we join with you to seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
We understand the pain of being stolen from and feeling surrounded by spiritual darkness and opposition, and we know that our struggle is real. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy does come to steal and destroy, but Jesus said I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly John 10:10, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We do have authority in Christ, but our weapons are not of the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4.
We must lovingly rebuke and correct the way this request has been framed, because it does not align with the heart of Christ. To pray for billion scourges, for blood to be shed like oceans together, for people to be killed and made a footstool to pay you back, is to ask for personal vengeance and to delight in the death of others. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to God alone. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. And God says Do not rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown Proverbs 24:17, for the Lord does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live Ezekiel 33:11, and He is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. Even when you cited Psalm 35:1 and Psalm 94:1, those are prayers asking God Himself to judge righteously, not curses for us to speak bloodshed over people made in God's image. We are commanded by Jesus to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44, and Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse Romans 12:14. We overcome evil not by cursing, but by good. Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.
The Old Covenant passages you mentioned such as Exodus 22:18 and Joshua 11:11 and the plagues of Exodus 7:14, Exodus 8:1, Exodus 9:1, Exodus 10:1, Exodus 11:1, Exodus 12:1 were God's sovereign judgments in history. Under the new covenant in Christ we are not called to call down plagues or death on people, but to pray for their repentance and for God to destroy the works of darkness, not the people themselves. God is the one who kills and makes alive 1 Samuel 2:6, and He alone will judge justly. What we can and should pray is that every witchcraft, fetish, sanctuary and work of darkness be exposed and rendered powerless by the light of Christ, and that those who practice such things would repent and be saved, or that God would remove their influence from your life according to His perfect justice.
We also want to address the financial burden. God sees the injustice of what was stolen from you and He is a God of justice and restoration. He also calls us to trust Him for provision and to be faithful stewards. Owe no one anything, except to love one another Romans 13:8, and The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously Psalm 37:21. We pray not that people would be enslaved to repay you, but that God Himself, who is just, would restore what was taken in His way and provide for your needs as He has promised My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.
So we pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this dear one to You who is carrying debts and the wound of theft and spiritual oppression in the workplace. Lord, You see what has been stolen, including money and ID cards, and You know every agent of darkness. We ask that You surround them with Your protection, put on them the full armor of God, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We pray that You would break and burn up every work of witchcraft and darkness by Your holy fire, not by our hatred, but by Your power, and that every marine spirit and kingdom of darkness would be rebuked and commanded to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask for Your peace in that workplace and for favor and integrity to be established there.
Father, forgive us where we have desired revenge and bloodshed, and create in us a heart that loves as You love. We release our enemies to You and ask You to do what is just and merciful. If it is Your will, bring those who have done evil to repentance and salvation, and if they refuse to repent, remove their power to harm and let Your righteous judgment prevail. We do not ask for their death, but for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Lord, provide for every financial need, open doors for honest work and provision, help debts to be paid with integrity, and restore what the thief has stolen in the way You choose, whether through recovery, Your provision, or Your justice. Help this dear one to walk in forgiveness, holiness, and trust, keeping their heart free from bitterness, for where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed James 3:16.
We ask You to heal their heart, strengthen their faith, and let them know that You are their defender and provider. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
