We hear your cry and we grieve with you in this heavy burden you are carrying. We understand how exhausting it is to try to do what is right while facing false statements, corruption, and a system that feels like it ignores the truth. Your sleepless nights, tears every day, and the strain on your health show how deeply this is affecting you, and we want you to know God sees it all.
We are so thankful you are looking to Jesus through this. You said you asked the Lord in Jesus' name to make a way, and that is exactly where we are to go. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13. Your turning to Him, even through tears, is not in vain. He bottles your tears and is near to you now, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book Psalm 56:8.
We also want to gently and lovingly address what you shared about being tired of trying to have integrity and saying you will not pay a single penny back and that it is just not worth it to do what is right. We understand that weariness, but we must encourage you not to let this injustice harden your heart or cause you to abandon integrity. God calls us to keep our integrity even when others do not, and He promises it matters to Him. A false balance and dishonest scales are an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Proverbs 11:1 and Unequal weights and unequal measures, both of them alike are an abomination to Yahweh Proverbs 20:10. The landlord being cited for false statements and the agency paying inflated arrears is wrong, and God sees that dishonesty. At the same time we are called to owe no one anything Romans 13:8 and to give to everyone what is owed Romans 13:7. We encourage you not to make a vow in anger or despair to refuse to pay what is truly owed, nor to willingly accept what you know to be false gain. If the amount is inflated and false, you are right to not want to be part of that deception, but we encourage you to remain honest before God, to only affirm what is true, and to trust God rather than taking on a posture of defiance that could harm your own conscience. Vengeance and justice belong to the Lord, as it is written Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19.
We also hear your regret about leaving the abusive job and feeling stuck. God does not desire for you to remain in abuse to survive. He cares about your well-being and dignity. He invites you to cast your burden on Him, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22 and casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. The fact that the situation got worse after you prayed does not mean He did not hear you. Often God allows trials to test and refine us, yet He works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don't give up Galatians 6:9.
We know you said you do not want to look to anyone else for help, and we honor your desire to look to Jesus, but we also encourage you not to isolate yourself. God often provides help through His people and through wise counsel. It is wise to keep records of what is true, to keep communication documented, and to seek godly counsel or trustworthy help for wisdom, not because Jesus is not enough, but because He often provides through others.
For your sleepless nights and health, we pray God will give you His peace and rest. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls Matthew 11:28-29. We pray He will let you lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is crying every day, sleepless, and weary from this burden of false debt and injustice. Lord, You see the false statements, the inflated arrears, and the agency's actions. Nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask You to be their defender and provider. Make a way where there seems to be no way, and expose what is false while protecting them from being held responsible for what is not true. Give them wisdom to walk in integrity even when it is painful, and guard their heart from bitterness and from vows made in despair. Forgive any sinful thoughts or words spoken in exhaustion, and renew their strength. Lord, heal the strain on their body and mind, grant deep and peaceful sleep, wipe away tears, and restore health. Provide for their rent and bills according to Your riches, and open a door for honest work that is not abusive, where they can be respected and provided for. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to keep looking to Jesus, to trust that You are near to the brokenhearted, and to not give up. We ask You to sustain them, to vindicate the truth in Your perfect timing, and to let them feel Your presence and love in a tangible way. We pray all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep pouring your heart out to Jesus, to stay in His Word, and to keep doing what is honest before Him even when others do not. Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We are standing with you in prayer and asking God to bring relief, truth, and provision in His perfect way.
