Death is my best option. God please take me, preferably peacefully and painlessly without taking anyone else with me.

Beloved of All
Best way to go: peacefully and painlessly in my sleep.

Second best way to go: endure a few hours of pain/discomfort and then get release. This is how my parent who died at 40 of a massive heart attack (I was a teen) went.

Third best way to go: endure a few months of pain/discomfort and then get release. Being told I have (for example) 3 to 6 months to live would be a positive thing to me.

I am a waste of time, space and resources. I am a burden. My little corner of the world would be better if I was no longer in it.

I am SO READY. God please take me.

First of all, are you born again according to what Jesus said in John 3:7? Secondly, Jesus came to give life, and that more abundantly, John 10:10b, and it is the thief that comes to steal, kill, and destroy, John 10:10a. You say you are ready, be ready for the second coming of Christ, Matthew 24:44.

We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you are carrying is heavy, and we want you to know that you are not alone—even in these darkest moments, God sees you, hears you, and holds you. The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that you are worthless, that your life has no purpose, and that death is the only escape. But we rebuke that lie in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has value beyond what you can see right now.

Scripture tells us that "the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). The enemy is the one who whispers hopelessness and despair, but Jesus offers life—even in the midst of suffering. We know your pain feels unbearable, but we also know that God can redeem even the deepest wounds. The psalmist cried out, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5 WEB). We echo that cry with you today, asking God to lift the weight of hopelessness from your shoulders.

You mentioned God, but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Him, to confess your sins, and to receive the salvation and peace that only He can offer. He is the one who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), and He longs to carry yours as well.

We also want to gently but firmly rebuke the thoughts of self-harm and suicide. Scripture is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and taking your own life is not God’s will for you. We understand that you are in pain, but we believe that God has a purpose for you, even if you cannot see it right now. The apostle Paul wrote, "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB). You may feel crushed, but you are not destroyed. God is with you, and He is able to bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

We pray for you now, lifting your name before the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would break through the darkness and flood their heart with Your light. Remind them of Your love, Your purpose, and Your presence. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus, and we ask that You would replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your love, Lord, and let them feel Your arms holding them tight. Bring people into their life who can walk alongside them, who can speak truth and hope into their situation. Father, we ask that You would reveal Your purpose for their life, even in this season of pain. Help them to see that they are not a burden, but a beloved child of Yours. Give them the strength to endure, and fill them with the hope that only comes from You. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a family member—and share how you are feeling. You do not have to carry this burden alone. If you are not already connected to a local church, we urge you to find one where you can be surrounded by believers who can pray with you, support you, and remind you of God’s love. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we want to do that for you.

If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please contact a crisis hotline or seek professional help immediately. Your life matters, and there are people who care deeply about you and want to help you through this. You are not a waste of time, space, or resources—you are a child of the King, and He has a plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (WEB). Cling to that promise today. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is able to turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

We're here with you, friend. We understand that life can feel overwhelming and that sometimes it's hard to see a way forward. But please know that you are not alone, and your life has immense value in God's eyes.

We want to share a different perspective with you. In the Bible, we read about a man named Job who faced immense suffering. He lost his children, his wealth, and even his health. Yet, even in his deepest pain, he said, "Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" (Job 2:10). Job understood that all things come from God, and he chose to trust in Him even in his suffering.

We're not minimizing your pain, but we want to encourage you to consider that God can use even the hardest times for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). We don't know what that looks like for you right now, but we believe that God has a purpose and a plan for your life.

We also want to remind you that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He sees you, He hears you, and He wants to comfort you. He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins and to offer you eternal life (John 3:16).

Please, friend, don't give up. Reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, or a friend. You don't have to go through this alone. And remember, God is with you, always.

We're praying for you, that God would give you strength to endure, fill you with hope, and reveal His purpose for your life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Within a year of when my parent died, I "became a Christian". Later, I watched a close family member go through a serious illness (which was tough) & I still believed. Then it was my turn to go through a serious illness & that's when God left me so I lost my faith. I lived without him for many years. Now I am in crisis & I am crying out to him & getting no answer.

I am giving up. No reason to stay, nothing to fight for. Let the "enemy" get his way and let my life end now because I have had enough. I would be content with no longer existing.

I want out.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your pain to the Lord in prayer these past days. Your words broke our hearts, and we have wept before God on your behalf, asking Him to draw near to you in your despair and fill the emptiness with His unfailing love. We have prayed for His peace to guard your heart and mind, for His comfort to surround you like a warm embrace, and for His hope to rise within you like the dawn after the darkest night.

We asked the Father to reveal Himself to you in ways only He can—through His Word, through the kindness of others, or even in the stillness of your soul. We prayed that He would remind you of your worth in His eyes, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that your life has purpose even when it feels unbearable. We stood in the gap, asking God to lift the weight of hopelessness from your shoulders and replace it with His strength, which is made perfect in weakness.

If in these days, you have sensed even a glimmer of His presence, a whisper of His love, or a moment of unexpected peace, we would be overjoyed to hear of it. Please share with us how God has moved, so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, the darkness still feels overwhelming and the burden remains too heavy to carry alone, we ask that you allow us to continue walking with you in prayer. Post your request again, and we will lift you up once more, trusting that God hears the cries of His children and will answer in His perfect timing and way.

Above all, we pray that you would encounter the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs, the One who promises to never leave us nor forsake us. May you feel His nearness, His compassion, and His deep, abiding love for you. May He fill you with His hope, renew your strength, and lead you into the light of His presence.

We love you, we are standing with you, and we will continue to pray for you, in Jesus' Name.
