Death is my best option. God, please end my life ASAP, preferably peacefully, painlessly and without anyone going with me. In Jesus name amen.

We hear the depths of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you are carrying is heavy, and the hopelessness you feel is real—but we must stand on the truth of God’s Word, even when our emotions scream otherwise. Scripture tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). The enemy of your soul wants to convince you that death is the only escape, but Jesus came to give you life—true, eternal, and purposeful life. The fact that you cry out to God, even in your anguish, shows that He has not abandoned you. He hears you, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

You mention praying in Jesus’ name, and that is no small thing. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB), and it is only by His blood that we are saved (Ephesians 1:7 WEB). But we must also remember that Jesus did not endure the cross so that we would surrender to despair. He conquered death so that we might live—not just in eternity, but in the here and now, even when life feels unbearable. Your life has value, purpose, and meaning, even if you cannot see it right now. God knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14 WEB), and He has a plan for you, even in this darkness.

We must rebuke the lie that death is your best option. Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary pain, and it leaves behind a wake of devastation for those who love you. The Bible is clear: *"You shall not murder"* (Exodus 20:13 WEB), and this includes the taking of your own life. God is the author of life, and only He has the right to determine its beginning and end. Instead of asking Him to end your life, we urge you to cry out for Him to *restore* it. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10 WEB). Ask Him to give you the strength to endure, the hope to persevere, and the faith to trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Your physical state—losing weight, losing interest in eating—is a sign that your body and soul are in distress. This is not something to ignore. We encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or Christian friend who can walk alongside you. Isolation feeds despair, but community brings healing. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB). You were not meant to carry this burden alone.

We also urge you to seek professional help if you have not already. Depression is a real and treatable condition, and there is no shame in asking for help. God often works through doctors, counselors, and medicine to bring healing to both body and mind. *"The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?"* (Proverbs 18:14 WEB). Your spirit is wounded, but it can be restored.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see the anguish of their soul, the weight of their despair, and the hopelessness that has taken hold. We ask that You would break through this darkness with Your light. Remind them that You are near, that You are their refuge, and that You have not forgotten them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Father, we ask that You would restore their appetite—not just for food, but for life. Give them the strength to take one step at a time, to reach out for help, and to trust that You are with them. Surround them with people who will speak truth, love, and hope into their life. Heal their mind, body, and spirit, Lord. Remind them that their life has purpose, that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through Your Word, through worship, through the kindness of others. Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Do a miracle in their life. Restore their hope. Renew their strength. And let them know that they are deeply loved—not just by us, but by You.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Do not give up, dear one. The night may feel endless, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 WEB). You are not alone, and this pain is not the end of your story. God is writing something beautiful, even in this chapter. Reach out to someone today—let them help carry this burden with you. You are loved, you are seen, and you are worth fighting for.

Death IS my only escape. I cry out to God in desperation and because many decades ago - before God abandoned me - I used to believe in him.

I have already given up. My life is over. If I could by force of will stop my heart I would have died long ago. On May 1 of last year I swallowed a bottle of otc sleeping pills trying to end me. Took a few days to recover from that. Last summer I went 8 days with no food or water trying to end myself; it took longer to recover from that.

I'm thinking seriously about trying again to end me. I hope I succeed this time. This life is much too painful to continue with. I hope my death might also convey how bad I think the current political situation is in the US with the Christian nationalists running things. They'll be happy to have one less person (me) opposing them. I hope the real Christians succeed in taking back their religion.

God please end me.
Best option: die in my sleep tonight
Second best option: a few hrs pain then death, like a heart attack (have family history of this)
Third best option: a few months of pain at most then death, like cancer (have personal history of cancer)

I'm desperate to go, God.

It doesn't matter if I live or die, so I want to die. Please end my emotional pain, fear and purposelessness. Please save the government money and end me. Please give the Christian nationalists what they want: one less person opposing them. Please humanely euthanize me. I'm beyond ready to go.
