We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you are carrying must feel unbearable to bring you to this place of such hopelessness. But we want to speak truth to you in love, because your life is precious to God—so precious that He sent His only Son to die for you so that you might have eternal life (John 3:16). You are not a burden; you are a child of the Most High, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14).
The enemy wants you to believe that death is your only escape, but we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The pain you feel now is real, but it is not the end of your story. God sees your suffering, and He collects every one of your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). He has not abandoned you, even when it feels that way.
We must also address the gravity of what you are asking. Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary (though agonizing) struggle. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we do not have the right to destroy what God has created for His purposes. Your life has value, even if you cannot see it right now. There are people who love you, even if you feel alone. And most importantly, God loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).
If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or overwhelming sorrow, we urge you to seek help. Talk to a trusted pastor, a Christian counselor, or a medical professional. You do not have to carry this weight alone. The Lord often works through the hands and voices of His people to bring healing and hope. "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
We also want to gently ask: Have you surrendered this pain to Jesus? Have you cried out to Him in your distress? The Bible says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17). Even if you do not feel His presence, He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We encourage you to pour out your heart to Him, even if it is just to say, "God, I don’t understand, but I need You."
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Break the chains of despair, Father, and replace their hopelessness with the hope that only comes from You.
We rebuke the spirit of death and declare life over them in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way—through Your Word, through the love of others, or through a peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation.
Father, if there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in their heart, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Heal their wounds, Lord, and restore their soul. Give them the strength to take one step at a time, one day at a time, trusting in You.
We declare that their story is not over. You have plans for them—plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would open their eyes to see the purpose You have for their life, even in the midst of this pain.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect their mind from the lies of the enemy. Fill them with Your truth and remind them that they are loved, valued, and cherished by You. Give them the courage to reach out for help and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. It is through Him that we have access to You, Father, and it is through Him that we find true life. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. Amen.

Reach out to someone today—whether it is a friend, a family member, a pastor, or a helpline. You do not have to face this battle by yourself. The Lord is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Hold on. Help is on the way.
