The only problem with prayer is we cannot see everything that is really happening.This cause us but you must remember that God has already answer your request and if it is not against God's word it will be yours. Daniel did not give up, but he continue to fast faithfully for 21 days and then the answer finally came. However, the Lord answer him on day one.
