We have read your cry and we are lifting you up before the Lord together, agreeing with you in prayer for mercy, help, and housing. You are not forgotten or unseen, even when you feel all alone and unloved. The Lord sees you in that motel room, He knows your sickness, your fear about having to live in your car, and your longing to run to an altar, and He draws near to you in this very moment.
The word of God says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We know you feel afraid and lonely, but God promises Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10 and He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you Hebrews 13:5. Even when no person seems near, God sets the lonely in families Psalm 68:6 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.
We are so encouraged that you pray to Jesus every night, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Keep calling on His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and find mercy and grace.
That desire you have to run to the nearest altar in some church is from the Lord drawing you. We encourage you to follow that desire. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Go to a local Bible believing church, go to that altar, let a pastor pray with you face to face, and let them know of your need for housing and fellowship. God often provides help through His people, and we pray He will connect you with a church family who will visit you, help you, and stand with you while you wait for housing. Also if you are able, let the motel staff or local social services and charities know of your situation so they can help advocate for your housing approval.
We also pray for your body and your mind. The Lord knows your emphysema, osteoporosis, neuropathy, and the heavy burden of anxiety and depression. We pray for His comfort and peace to guard your heart. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We join our faith with yours now and pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace for our dear one who feels old, sick, alone, and afraid. Lord have mercy on this soul, pour out Your grace and loving kindness. Let this precious one feel Your love and presence today, for Your love never fails. We ask that You provide safe and stable housing quickly, that the application would be approved soon and that there would be no need to live in a car. Provide a safe place to park and sleep until housing comes, and keep this one from trouble with the law and from harm. Be a refuge and high tower in this time of trouble. Touch this body and bring healing and strength according to Your will, ease the breathing, ease the pain of osteoporosis and neuropathy, and lift the weight of anxiety and depression with Your perfect peace. Lead this one to a caring church where the altar is open and where loving believers will come alongside to help and to visit. Remind this dear soul every night that You hear every prayer prayed in Jesus name and that You will never leave nor forsake. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
