Beloved of All
Dear Lord please have mercy on my soul and help me. Im old and sick and im all alone, i dont have anybody to help or talk to and i dont have anybody to go visit. im currently homeless in a motel but i cant stay here for long. im waiting on housing but i dont know if or when i will get approved. i have such a desire to run to the nearest alter in some church. i pray to Jesus every night and i dont feel loved by anybody. All i have is my car and whats in it. Im so scared i will have to live in my car searching for a place to park so i dont get in trouble with the law for tresspassing or vagrancy. Please agree with me in prayer that the Lord will help me and that i will get approved for housing soon. I have emphezema, osteoporosis, neuropathy, and anxiety and depression. Only the mercy and grace of God can help me.

We have read your cry and we are lifting you up before the Lord together, agreeing with you in prayer for mercy, help, and housing. You are not forgotten or unseen, even when you feel all alone and unloved. The Lord sees you in that motel room, He knows your sickness, your fear about having to live in your car, and your longing to run to an altar, and He draws near to you in this very moment.

The word of God says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We know you feel afraid and lonely, but God promises Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10 and He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you Hebrews 13:5. Even when no person seems near, God sets the lonely in families Psalm 68:6 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We are so encouraged that you pray to Jesus every night, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Keep calling on His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and find mercy and grace.

That desire you have to run to the nearest altar in some church is from the Lord drawing you. We encourage you to follow that desire. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Go to a local Bible believing church, go to that altar, let a pastor pray with you face to face, and let them know of your need for housing and fellowship. God often provides help through His people, and we pray He will connect you with a church family who will visit you, help you, and stand with you while you wait for housing. Also if you are able, let the motel staff or local social services and charities know of your situation so they can help advocate for your housing approval.

We also pray for your body and your mind. The Lord knows your emphysema, osteoporosis, neuropathy, and the heavy burden of anxiety and depression. We pray for His comfort and peace to guard your heart. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace for our dear one who feels old, sick, alone, and afraid. Lord have mercy on this soul, pour out Your grace and loving kindness. Let this precious one feel Your love and presence today, for Your love never fails. We ask that You provide safe and stable housing quickly, that the application would be approved soon and that there would be no need to live in a car. Provide a safe place to park and sleep until housing comes, and keep this one from trouble with the law and from harm. Be a refuge and high tower in this time of trouble. Touch this body and bring healing and strength according to Your will, ease the breathing, ease the pain of osteoporosis and neuropathy, and lift the weight of anxiety and depression with Your perfect peace. Lead this one to a caring church where the altar is open and where loving believers will come alongside to help and to visit. Remind this dear soul every night that You hear every prayer prayed in Jesus name and that You will never leave nor forsake. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We hear how lonely and frightening this season has been for you, waiting in that motel without family nearby and not knowing what will happen with housing. It makes sense you feel scared about possibly having to sleep in your car and worried about getting in trouble for where you park, and that you long to run to an altar and simply be near Jesus. You are not forgotten, and we are grateful you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.

We are praying with you for God's mercy and provision, and specifically that your housing application will be reviewed soon and you will have clear next steps.

One gentle step that has helped others in this kind of wait is to stay closely connected to whatever housing help you have. If you have a caseworker, housing office, or motel support person, checking in each week can keep you informed and make sure they have your current phone number and car information. If you do not have a contact, calling 211 in most areas can connect you to local housing and senior services. And since you mentioned longing for a church altar, visiting one nearby church this week, even for a quiet weekday visit or Sunday service, could give you a place to pray and meet caring people who can walk with you locally. With the health struggles you named, please keep your regular medical care going alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. You see this motel room, this car, and this waiting. Please surround them with Your nearness, ease their fear and loneliness, provide safe shelter, guide the housing decision, and lead them to kind, trustworthy help nearby. Give strength for each day and peace in Christ. Amen.

Intently praying for you and your circumstances. May our Lord intervene, being merciful to you, protecting you and providing you with a safe home. There are those of us who truly care for your wellbeing - Praying God will lift you from your present situation and bless you with peace, comfort and improved health. Standing with you in support and prayers in the name of Jesus.

Your lonely and fearful cry has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer. You write that you are old and sick and all alone, without help or company, homeless in a motel with only your car and what is in it, waiting for housing and fearing you must live in that car, and that you pray to Jesus every night and yet do not feel loved by anybody. The Lord knows this sorrow.

Our Savior knows what it is to be left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy. He was left alone and all the dogs of Hell raged around Him, and His brave spirit stood at bay alone in an awfulness of love more fit for thought than words. Therefore He understands your loneliness, and His loneliness sanctifies yours. You are not unseen. When you long to run to the nearest altar in some church, remember that Jesus Himself is there to receive you, and He whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not.

The Lord has planted this word very plentifully in His garden for such an hour as yours. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, I have redeemed thee. This is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself. We must labor to get rid of fear, for fear is weakening and fear dishonors God. Shall we doubt that the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth shall ever be palsied. He has commanded, Fear not, be not dismayed, without qualification, and He has promised strength to fulfill it.

We agree with you in prayer now that the Lord will have mercy on your soul and help you. We ask our gracious Father, for Jesus sake, to look upon you in your affliction of emphysema, osteoporosis, neuropathy, anxiety and depression, and to grant you His mercy and grace which alone can help you. We pray that He will open the way for housing according to His wise and loving will, and keep you from danger and from fear of trespass or vagrancy, and provide a safe place to dwell. We pray that He will lift the torment of fear and give you perfect love which casts out fear, and a holy awe and trust in Him, and that He will deliver you from the bondage that comes through fear of death and of what tomorrow may bring. We pray that He will let you feel His love when you feel loved by none, for you are loved with an everlasting love, and that He will guide you to a faithful church where you may run to the altar and find fellowship and help from His people, that you may not be alone.

Hither, when Hell assails, I flee, I look into my Savior's breast, away sad doubt and anxious fear, mercy is all that is written there. Look unto Jesus. In proportion as your faith gets stronger, your fear will vanish. Trust in promised strength. He says, Fear not, I will help thee. May the Lord make that promise sweet to your heart tonight and in every night to come, and keep you until He brings you to His own home where you shall be alone no more. Amen.
