Dear Lord, please help me, I am losing my wife and pushing her away. I’m not trying to but everything I say and do pushes her and hurts her. I don’t want to do this. She sees me in such a negative light, there is no hope for me. Please intervene, I can’t do anything except rely on you, I know things will happen in your time, but I’m failing. I am trying to stay in a place of love and compassion and I’m getting battered. Have mercy on me Lord, touch my wife’s heart with compassion for me. Everything is just not working. We went almost two weeks of being mostly amicable and bam, I messed that up, but she responds with hatred, not with the understanding that mistakes will happen as we go through this process. Forgive me Lord, I am just lost.

Father God, bless these people, this couple. Make their hearts and mouths soften. Fill them with love and understanding, as well as the strength to find healing and change their negative patterns. Remind them of why they fell in love. Give them both grace to forgive, patience to listen, and a heart to understand. Guide them to allow You to participate in their marriage. Show them how to restore their union. Amen.
