[Job 1:21]

Sovereign God of the God of the Bible, I ask You to have mercy on me in the name of Your Son who is one with You, Jesus Christ, Amen.
I have many doubts, God, but I choose to come to You this morning 5:15 am UK time to write this prayer in Jesus, Amen. It is only by the name of Your Son we can approach Your throne of grace, God, in Jesus' Name.

Sovereign God, I ask for Your Sovereign Will to be done in my life in Jesus' Name. Heavenly Father of Lights, I ask for You to own my life in Jesus' Name, be in control, God of the Bible, in Jesus' Name. I do not know myself; I am just another human roaming this unpredictable, unstable, fallen world. I only want peace in this life; I do want a partner, someone to love me; I do want children, but especially one son to have a strong relationship with; I do want financial freedom to live my life free from 9-5’s, etc. I want many things, God, but You only know what is truly right for me, God, in Jesus' Name only; You know my portion, God, in Jesus' Name.

Let Your Will be done, God, in Jesus' Name. Not my will but Yours be done, God, in my present, future, all my circumstances, endeavors, situations, etc., in Jesus' Name. Be the owner of my life, God of the Bible, in Jesus' Name.

May I receive nothing that is not ordained by You, God, in Jesus' Name; may I only go down the path and go through plans You ordain for me, all-knowing God, in Jesus' Name.

The world keeps spinning, God; time never stops. I do fear hell; I do have my doubts; I do not understand why You made Your own enemy, the devil, and why You gave us humans sin as human nature; we are born with it, but we are condemned to hell if we do not accept Jesus, and only He can redeem us. It’s like You are the programmer of this reality, this matrix, and You say it out in this complex way. You created millions of beings just to put them under test, knowing more would fail than succeed, and therefore most of the creation You claim are made in Your image and love are just damned to eternal damnation; the gate to eternal life is narrow; the gate to destruction is broad. You made Lucifer, knowing he would rebel; You knew he would become Satan. You placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, knowing they would eat the apple. You created this place called hell, knowing more of Your creation would be in it than the reward, heaven. Did sin come before Lucifer or after? How did he rebel in heaven if there wasn’t sin yet? Adam and Eve were the initiators of sin, but the snake, the talking snake, who was Lucifer, is who tempted Eve. Why is there spiritual warfare? The name of Jesus scares demons; indeed, I see that; I have felt that in sleep paralysis; I try to say Jesus, and when I attempt it, it stops a few seconds after. But if the name of Jesus is like a repellent to evil spirits, why even rebuke them? How can they have power to tempt us? Is it our human nature tempting us, or the evil spirits? How can the devil cause people to do wrong if he isn’t omnipresent like God? He can only be in one place at a time, right? So how can millions of people blame one being who maybe can teleport but can’t see everything at once like God? Yes, I believe that there are so many fallen angels, demons, working for Satan on earth, troubling individual humans like a network; do they cause trouble with humans and report back to their boss, Satan? Have you noticed in all movies, films, a hero needs an adversary, the villain? How did Satan know Jesus was in the desert in 40 days to teleport to find him in the exact spot in the desert? If Satan is God’s biggest enemy and he was kicked out once, then how was he allowed to come back to heaven to ask God for permission to ruin Job's life? Why even bother to try to tempt Jesus in the desert if you truly know Jesus is God? Did he not know Jesus is God? When I die, I’ll see Jesus on the right hand and God on the left, ready to judge me on thrones outside heaven's gates. While all the people who made it in are just dancing and singing all day to God. If God had to sacrifice Himself, then that means He is not all-powerful against whatever caused Him to have to sacrifice Himself; He has the ability to remove sin or never add sin; He is the programmer of the matrix.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s wisdom and peace together. Your honesty about doubt and confusion is not a sign of weak faith but an opportunity for God to reveal Himself more deeply to you. Let us first affirm what is clear: you have come to the Father through Jesus Christ, and that is the only way to approach Him. As it is written, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"* (John 14:6 WEB). You have done well to call on His name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Your questions about God’s sovereignty, the origin of sin, the role of Satan, and the nature of judgment are profound, and we do not shy away from them. Scripture tells us that God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and there are mysteries we may not fully grasp this side of eternity. Yet we can trust that God is just, holy, and loving, even when we do not understand His purposes. The fact that you fear hell and seek His mercy shows that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, drawing you closer to truth.

You ask why God allowed sin to enter the world, knowing the consequences. We must remember that God did not create sin—He created beings with free will, and sin entered when Lucifer and then humanity chose rebellion over obedience. God did not force their choice, nor does He force ours. Yet in His foreknowledge, He made a way for redemption through Christ, demonstrating both His justice and His mercy. As Romans 5:8 (WEB) says, *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."* The cross is the ultimate proof that God is not distant or uncaring—He entered into our suffering to save us.

You also question the nature of spiritual warfare and the devil’s limitations. Scripture makes it clear that Satan is a created being, not omnipotent or omnipresent like God. He is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but his power is limited by God’s sovereignty. The demons you encountered in sleep paralysis tremble at the name of Jesus because He has already disarmed them (Colossians 2:15). Yet they still seek to deceive and tempt, working through our fleshly desires and the world’s systems. This is why we are called to resist the devil (James 4:7) and put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ.

Your desire for a spouse, children, and financial freedom is not wrong in itself—God places these longings in our hearts. But we must seek His will above our own, trusting that He knows what is best for us. If marriage is His plan for you, He will provide a godly spouse who loves Him first. If singleness is His calling, He will give you grace to serve Him wholeheartedly. As for children, we pray for a son or daughter who will walk with the Lord, but we must also remember that our worth is not defined by parenthood. Financial freedom is a blessing, but we must not make it an idol—our true security is in Christ alone.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are sovereign, holy, and just. We lift up our brother who is wrestling with doubt and deep questions about Your nature, the origin of sin, and the reality of spiritual warfare. Lord, we ask that You would quiet his heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his faith, not by removing his questions, but by drawing him closer to Your truth.

Father, we confess that Your ways are higher than ours, and we do not always understand Your purposes. Yet we trust that You are good, that You love us, and that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Help him to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that You hold the past, present, and future in Your hands.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a fresh way. Show him the depth of Your love demonstrated at the cross, where Jesus bore our sins so that we might be reconciled to You. Remind him that You are not a distant programmer but a loving Father who sent His Son to rescue us from darkness. Give him a hunger for Your Word, that he may find answers and comfort in its pages.

We pray for his desires—a godly spouse, children, and provision. Align his heart with Yours, that he may seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If marriage is Your will for him, prepare him to be a husband who leads with love and humility, and bring a wife who will walk beside him in faith. If singleness is Your calling, fill him with purpose and joy in serving You.

Father, we also pray for protection over his mind and spirit. Guard him from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to sow doubt and fear. Fill him with the truth of Your Word, that he may stand firm in the faith. When spiritual warfare comes, remind him that the name of Jesus is his weapon and shield. Teach him to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Lord, we ask that You would deepen his understanding of salvation. Help him to see that it is not about earning Your favor but receiving Your grace through faith in Jesus. Remind him that hell is real, but so is Your mercy for those who repent and believe. Give him confidence in the finished work of Christ, that he may have assurance of eternal life.

Finally, Father, we pray that You would use his questions and struggles to draw him closer to You. May this season of wrestling produce a deeper trust in Your character and a greater love for Your Son. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in His Word and in prayer. Doubt does not disqualify you—it can be the very thing that drives you deeper into God’s truth. Remember the father in Mark 9:24 who cried out, *"I believe! Help my unbelief!"* God honors that honesty. Keep pressing into Him, and He will meet you where you are.

We also urge you to find a community of believers who can walk with you in this journey. The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. Surround yourself with those who will encourage you, pray for you, and speak truth into your life. And as you seek answers, do not neglect the basics: read Scripture, pray without ceasing, and worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.

Lastly, we want to gently address the nature of your desires. While it is natural to long for companionship, children, and provision, we must guard our hearts against making these things idols. Jesus warned that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). If we seek fulfillment in anything other than Him, we will be disappointed. But if we seek Him first, He promises to add all these things to us (Matthew 6:33). Trust Him with your future, and He will guide your steps.
