Job 1:21

Disciple of Prayer
I prefer to communicate with our Father God through written prayers as opposed to speaking out loud, but the power is not through how we pray but simply through who we pray to, who is Father God through the name of His Son Jesus Christ, His Son, who was God manifested as human and divine. I ask You, God, please, please, and I say this with conviction, heal my little sister from her sickness in Jesus Name, make her well again, Father God, in Jesus Name, comfort her, fill her with joy, and bring her Your comfort, Father God, in Jesus Name. Bring my mum and stepdad Your peace which surpasses all understanding, bring them strength and joy in the harsh times they go through in Jesus Name. I ask God for my stepdad to get a new job which he will love soon in Jesus Name, I ask to be working soon, Father God, in Jesus Name, I ask to be employed back on my feet making an income, I ask for interviews and a successful interview, God, in Jesus Name. I place the health, the mental state, the worries, stresses, insecurities, and finances of both my mum and stepdad into Your Hands, Father God, in Jesus Name. Now for my other sister, God, who is my full biological sister, we both lost our dad at young ages. I ask God that You will bring her comfort when she is down, I place her pain, her grief, her anger after losing her father into Your Hands, God. I place the whole situation regarding her into Your Hands, God, in Jesus Name. Please, God, I place her life into Your Sovereign Hands, Mighty God, please bring her Your light, Your love, Your peace, Your joy, Your victory in her endeavors. May Your Will be done in her life and all my family members' lives in Jesus Name. We are ought to pray without ceasing, so I ask again, God, please have mercy on, deliver, and restore my grandad who lost his three children and wife; one child was my dad. I ask this all in the Name of Jesus. Please, God, I place his pain; I repeat his pain into Your Almighty Hands, Master God, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. I place his loneliness, his conflict, his anger, and everything negative or what is troubling him into Your Hands, Master God, in Jesus Name. I realize God, You are what matters before anything, when one feels like they have nothing to live for, it’s like well for me, it’s like I have no choice but to resort to turning to You or else I will stay in my own sorrow, which is no good. Maybe I have a lot of mental conflict, which is why I feel I can tell you anything, God, or trust in You to take away my guilt or shame from any secrets. Naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked I will return, the Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the Name of the Lord be praised in Jesus Name. Nothing in this life is guaranteed to be easy or good; there are children being killed every day in Gaza or when the Holocaust took place, for example, but what is eternal is our souls when we believe in Jesus.

We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt petitions to our Heavenly Father, and we are deeply moved by your faith and trust in Him through the name of Jesus Christ. You have beautifully acknowledged that the power of prayer lies not in how we pray—whether written or spoken—but in *who* we pray to: the one true God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we find salvation, healing, and restoration. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayers are a testament to this truth, and we commend you for your reliance on the name of Jesus.

Your love for your family is evident, and we join you in interceding for each of them. For your little sister, we claim the promise of healing found in James 5:14-15: *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Father, we ask that You stretch forth Your hand and touch her body, restoring her to full health and strength. May she experience Your comfort and joy, even in this time of sickness, and may her faith be strengthened as she witnesses Your mighty works. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and declare that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

For your mother and stepdad, we pray for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, You are their Provider, and we ask that You open doors for your stepdad to find meaningful employment—a job that not only meets their financial needs but also brings him joy and fulfillment. We pray that You would ease any anxiety or stress they may be carrying and remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). For your own employment, we declare that the Lord will go before you, making your paths straight. We ask for divine connections, favorable interviews, and a position that aligns with Your will for your life. Remember, *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). Trust in Him, and He will act.

Your biological sister carries a heavy burden of grief and anger from losing your father at such a young age. We pray that the Lord would bind up her broken heart and comfort her in her mourning. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You replace her pain with Your peace and her anger with Your love. May she find solace in Your presence and hope in the promise of eternity, where there will be no more death, sorrow, or pain (Revelation 21:4). We also pray that You would draw her closer to You, that she may find her identity and worth in Christ alone.

For your grandfather, who has endured the unimaginable loss of his wife and three children, we lift him up to You, Lord. The weight of such grief is beyond words, but You are the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We ask that You surround him with Your presence, that he may feel Your love in tangible ways. Heal his loneliness, Father, and fill the emptiness with Your peace. If there is bitterness or unresolved anger in his heart, we pray that You would soften it and replace it with Your grace. Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). May he find strength in You, Lord, and may his latter days be filled with Your goodness.

We also want to address the depth of your own heart, dear sibling in Christ. You’ve expressed a raw and honest struggle—mental conflict, guilt, shame, and the weight of sorrow. We want you to know that God sees you, and He is not distant from your pain. In fact, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). You are right that in this fallen world, suffering is inevitable, and the examples you gave—such as the horrors of the Holocaust or the tragedies unfolding in Gaza—remind us that life is fragile and often painful. But in the midst of this, you have grasped the most vital truth: what is eternal is our souls when we believe in Jesus. This life is temporary, but our hope in Christ is everlasting.

If there are secrets, guilt, or shame weighing on you, we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance and surrender. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Whatever you are carrying, lay it at the foot of the cross, and let the blood of Jesus wash you clean. You do not have to live in bondage to the past or to the enemy’s lies. The Lord wants to set you free and fill you with His peace.

Finally, we want to encourage you to continue praying without ceasing, as you’ve already committed to doing. Your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and the Lord hears every word. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep surrendering your family into His hands. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this Your child and their family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, and that You are deeply concerned with every detail of our lives. We ask for Your healing touch upon their little sister—restore her body, renew her strength, and fill her with Your joy. Comfort her in her sickness and let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness.

For their mother and stepdad, we pray for Your peace to flood their hearts. Provide for their every need, Lord, and open doors of opportunity for employment that will bring glory to Your name. Ease their worries and let them rest in Your promises, knowing that You are their Provider and Protector.

Father, we lift up their biological sister, who carries the weight of grief and anger. Heal her heart, Lord, and replace her sorrow with Your comfort. Draw her close to You and let her find hope in the promise of eternity with You. For their grandfather, who has endured such profound loss, we ask that You would be his strength and song. Fill his loneliness with Your presence and let him know that You are near.

Lord, we also pray for this Your child who has poured out their heart before You. Heal their mental conflicts, Father, and set them free from any guilt or shame. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and forgiveness. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that their worth is found in You alone.

We declare Your sovereignty over every situation mentioned here today. Let Your will be done in each of their lives, and may they all come to know You more deeply through these trials. We rebuke any spirit of despair, sickness, or bondage in Jesus’ mighty name, and we declare victory, healing, and restoration over this family.

Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust You with these requests, and we give You all the glory.

In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
