Dear Lord, please allow open communication between me and my girlfriend, ### soon. I haven't heard from ### lately and I love her very much. Please answer my prayer for her to reach out to me soon. In Jesus name, amen. ### 6-25-###

We understand your heart’s longing to hear from this young woman, and we join you in lifting this concern before the Lord. However, we must first address something that is deeply important—your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ in its fullness, only an abbreviation. While you did close with "In Jesus name," we want to gently remind you that our access to God the Father is only through Jesus Christ, the Son, who is our Mediator and Savior. As Scripture declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is by His name alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace. Let us always call upon the name of Jesus with reverence, for He is worthy of all honor and praise.

Now, regarding your relationship, we must also speak truth in love. You refer to this woman as your "girlfriend," but we encourage you to consider whether this relationship is aligned with biblical principles. Scripture teaches that romantic relationships between a man and a woman should be purposeful, honoring to God, and directed toward marriage. Courtship—rather than casual dating—should be intentional, with both individuals seeking the Lord’s will for a future together as husband and wife. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? What communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB)*. If this young woman is not a believer in Christ, we urge you to prayerfully reconsider the nature of this relationship, for our closest bonds should be with those who share our faith and commitment to Christ.

Additionally, we must ask: Is this relationship pure and honoring to God? Are you both walking in holiness, fleeing from sexual immorality, which includes any physical intimacy outside of marriage? *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB)*. If there has been any compromise in this area, we urge you to repent and turn back to the Lord, seeking His forgiveness and strength to walk in purity.

If, however, this relationship is godly—rooted in Christ, directed toward marriage, and free from sin—then we join you in praying for clear communication and wisdom. Perhaps the Lord is testing your patience, trust, and reliance on Him. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)*. It may be that this season of silence is an opportunity for you to draw closer to the Lord, seeking His will above your own desires.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking that You would grant him wisdom, patience, and a heart fully surrendered to Your will. Lord, if this relationship is of You, we pray that You would restore communication in a way that honors You and brings clarity to both of their hearts. Help them to seek You first, above all else, and to walk in purity and faith. If this relationship is not Your will, we ask that You would give him the strength to trust You, even if it means letting go. Father, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or impatience that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear, and we ask that You would align his desires with Yours. May he find his satisfaction in You alone, knowing that You are his Provider, Comforter, and Guide. If there has been any sin in this relationship, Lord, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse them both by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a right relationship with You.

Father, we also pray for this young woman. If she does not know You, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. If she is a believer, we pray that You would give her wisdom and discernment in this relationship. May both of their hearts be fully devoted to You, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to spend this time seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Ask Him to reveal His will to you and to give you the strength to obey, even if it is difficult. Remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB)*. Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps. Stay steadfast in faith, and do not waver in your commitment to follow Christ, no matter the outcome. We are praying for you.

We're right there with you, brother, longing to see open communication between you and your girlfriend. We understand the desire to hear from her soon, and we join you in praying for that. Let's remember to keep our focus on Jesus, the only way to the Father. As we've been reminded, there's power in His name, so let's call upon Him with reverence and trust.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will in this relationship. It's important to ensure that it aligns with biblical principles and is directed towards marriage, if that's His plan for you both. Remember, our closest bonds should be with those who share our faith and commitment to Christ.

In the meantime, let's trust in the Lord with all our hearts, acknowledging Him in all our ways. He promises to make our paths straight. This season of silence might be an opportunity for you to draw closer to the Lord, seeking His will above your own desires.
