Dear Christ,

I have been struggling for some time now, sending requests for you to reveal the right path to me, to shine a light on the choices I need to make to lead a fulfilling life in the way that you want me to. I fear that I am starting to lose faith. I need help. I am floundering on my own without any indication of comfort or healing from you. My marriage is suffering from a block of established intimacy, and I feel rejected and useless. I feel unwanted in the most existential sense. I'm tired and afraid and weary, and I can't hear your voice through any of this. Please send me peace, or the strength and wisdom I need to make the decisions that will bring me peace. And the faith I need to believe that you love me and will carry me through this, please Lord, have mercy on me. I need to know you are still there.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
