Thank you for sharing so honestly about how hard this day has been. The Lord sees the physical pain and the emotional heaviness you carry with this condition, and He understands how draining it is when your body is struggling and your emotions feel so unsettled.

The Bible teaches that our deepest battles are not against flesh and blood, but are spiritual. There is a real conflict in the unseen realm between those who serve God and those who rebelled against Him, and Scripture says we often feel the effects of that conflict without fully recognizing it. At times we feel oppressed or unusually heavy and we cannot quite explain why our emotions are so turbulent. That sense of being targeted in a vulnerable moment is something many believers have described.

It is also true that our physical, emotional, and spiritual lives are closely connected. Scripture links the health of the soul with the health of the body, and even observes that a joyful heart is like good medicine. Medical understanding confirms this, that prolonged emotional stress can produce harmful effects in the body, while peace and hope can strengthen it. When your body is under real physiological strain each month, it is natural that your emotions feel more fragile and your resistance feels lower. The enemy can seek to take advantage of that weakness, especially in the mind where so much of the battle is fought, but not every difficult feeling is only a spiritual attack. Your physical suffering is real, and God does not dismiss it.

For the spiritual part of the struggle, God has not left us without help. The weapons that are effective in this kind of warfare are not physical or carnal methods, but spiritual ones. The Word of God, faith in what God has said, and prayer are the means He has given us to stand against the enemy and to guard our minds. We often take great care to feed and care for our physical bodies, which is right, but we can neglect to feed the inner person. Strength for these hard days comes as we deliberately nourish the spiritual life through prayer and through letting Scripture dwell in us, even while we also seek wise care for the body.

It is important also to remember that a strong emotional experience by itself does not produce spiritual growth. Feelings come and go very quickly, and we cannot satisfy a thirst of the soul with only a physical remedy or an emotional moment. Real and lasting strength comes from coming to Jesus Himself when we thirst, and drinking deeply from Him, and from being rooted in the truth of His Word. That is what steadies the heart when emotions are fluctuating and the body is weak.

You are not set aside from God in these difficult days. In Christ you have full access to His presence and His mercy at all times, and He invites you to bring your weakness to Him without shame.

Praying for you now, that the Lord would give you relief and strength in your body, peace to your mind and emotions, and a clear sense of His nearness. May He guard your thoughts, remind you of His promises from Scripture, and help you to rest in His love and power. May He give you wisdom for care for your physical health, and may He fill your inner person with His strength through His Word and through prayer, so that even on the hardest days you know you are upheld by Jesus who lives for you.
