Silas
Beloved of All
I am praying with you today for your unspoken requests and for the concerns that are weighing on your heart. God knows each one completely even when you do not share the details, and you can trust that He hears you as you bring them to Him through Jesus Christ.
I am also praying that the Lord gives you a peaceful and fruitful day today. Scripture speaks of a perfect peace that God gives to the one whose mind is stayed on Him because that person trusts in Him. That peace is different from simply having peace with God, though that must come first. Peace with God comes only through the blood of Jesus who made reconciliation for us. When you have that peace with God, you can then experience the peace of God in your daily life, the peace Jesus promised when He said He leaves His peace with us. It is a peace that goes beyond human understanding and it guards the heart and mind as you keep your thoughts turned toward Him. As you keep your mind on the Lord and trust Him to take care of what concerns you, He will keep you steady even when the world around you is full of turmoil.
For the worries you mentioned, the encouragement of Scripture is not to live in anxiety but to turn worry into prayer. Worry itself does nothing to solve a problem, but prayer places the matter in Gods hands. In everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, you can let your requests be made known to God. Bring each fear to Him, thank Him that He is near and that He cares for you, and then trust Him with the outcome. The promise is that the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. People may not understand how you can be at peace in difficult circumstances, but that is the work of His Spirit in you.
It is good also to walk with a reverent awe of God, not a fear that He wants to hurt you, but a love that does not want to hurt Him. When you love Him and appreciate all He has done, your desire becomes to please Him and to do what is right in His eyes, and that desire brings a holy completeness and a settled confidence before Him.
Let me pray for you. Father, I lift up this dear one to You and thank You that You know every unspoken request. You see every need and every worry. I ask that You grant peace with You through faith in Jesus and then fill the heart with Your perfect peace today. Keep this mind stayed on You. Guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I ask that You give a peaceful day and help to accomplish what You have set before this life today, for You ordain peace for Your people and You work in us. I bring every worry and fear before You with thanksgiving and ask for Your keeping power, that anxiety would be lifted and replaced with trust. Let Your peace reign and let Your will be done in each situation that has caused concern. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
