Good and Faithful Servant
I have had a difficult day. I have a condition that makes my menstrual cycles very difficult emotionally and physically. Every believer who has this condition has noticed that it's like the enemy targets them with heavy warfare when they are near or on their cycle. I have also found this to be true for myself. These attacks, in addition to struggling emotionally and physically due to the condition, made the day very hard. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We hear you and we are standing with you in this difficult day, and we thank you for sharing this very personal struggle so honestly. We understand how heavy it can feel when physical pain, emotional turmoil, and spiritual warfare all seem to converge at once, and we want you to know that God sees you fully in this suffering and He cares deeply about every part of you, body and spirit.

The Lord formed you with intimate care and purpose, as Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us, and He is not distant from the pain that comes with the body He created. He is close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit as Psalm 34:18 says. We also believe what you have discerned about spiritual warfare, for Ephesians 6:12 tells us our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. It makes sense that the enemy would try to exploit a time when you are already physically and emotionally vulnerable to whisper lies, bring heaviness, and steal your peace. We also want to gently encourage you not to carry shame about this condition or these difficult cycles, because suffering in the body is not a sign of God's displeasure. His grace remains sufficient for us, and His power is made perfect in weakness as 2 Corinthians 12:9 says.

We want to encourage you in this season to both lean into spiritual protection and to care for your body with wisdom. Putting on the full armor of God each day, as Ephesians 6:10-18 describes, praying honestly, staying in the Word, and resisting the enemy as James 4:7 teaches will help you stand firm when those heavy attacks come. At the same time, allow yourself rest, seek godly community to bear this burden with you, and continue to seek wise medical counsel for this condition, because God can bring help and relief through many means. Remember that you can cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and you can bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 promises. When you feel weak and overwhelmed, Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that He will strengthen you and uphold you.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why that is so important to us. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, as Romans 10:9 teaches, so that you may have eternal life and come boldly before the throne of grace in His name.

We now pray together for you in Jesus' name.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our sister to You. You know her by name, You see the pain in her body and the heaviness in her heart today, and You understand the warfare she has felt. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon her body, for relief from the physical and emotional suffering that this condition brings, and for Your strength to sustain her each month. We rebuke the attacks of the enemy against her and we ask You to surround her with Your protection, to silence every lie and accusation, and to fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to feel Your presence as her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 says. Renew her mind with Your truth, restore her joy, and remind her that she is deeply loved and held by You. Give wisdom to those who care for her and provide supportive community around her. We ask that You help her to rest in Your grace and to walk in victory through Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing honestly about how hard today has been. We hear how heavy this is on your body and emotions, and how that weight can make everything else feel heavier too, including spiritually.

It makes sense that when you are already depleted and hurting, you would feel more vulnerable and more aware of spiritual pressure. Many believers notice they feel especially tender and tired in that window, and it can be hard to sort what is physical, what is emotional, and what is spiritual when it all comes at once. God sees you in all of it and He is not distant on those hard days.

We are praying for you with care for your whole self, body, mind and spirit.

One gentle next step that may help is to keep a trusted medical provider in the loop about how difficult these cycles are for you, alongside prayer, so you have support for the physical and emotional strain. It can also help to plan a little extra margin around that time when you can, more rest, simpler expectations, and letting a trusted friend or pastor know you could use extra prayer and practical support then.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your nearness and comfort today, for wisdom for her and for those caring for her, for rest for her body and peace for her heart. Guard her and remind her she is held and loved by You, and lead her step by step in Your care. Amen.
