Day 3 - Fourty Day Fast for Intercessor

Lord, Today is the third day. I lift up Doug to you again. I keep thinking about how much he wants to be in your perfect will, to attain a higher level of knowledge and perfection. Lord, your mighty hand is upon him, leading and guiding, showing him the way to go. It's time to prune the vine, Lord,. Remove all those things from his life that are unimportant, things that won't matter the other side of heaven. Replace them with value for eternity.

Give him tools, spiritual gifts, discernment and prophesy. Let your agape love for Doug pour out of him and into the world through his spirit and his eyes. May everyone coming into contact with him be able to see his savior. I ask for your merciful hand to touch his spirit and reveal new ideas, new thoughts, new plans. Annoint him, Lord for his calling. Shelter him in your loving arms, give him mannah, the food of angels while he is fasting. Let him drink from the fountain of living water for his thirsty soul. Protect him from the enemy and keep all forces of darkness away from him so that he can concentrate on you and your kingdom. Lord, help him to sleep. Help him to lay down his head and fall into a deep, restful and peaceful sleep so that he can rise up tonight and lead his praise and worship team to another service rejoicing in his Lord. I thank you and praise you for your hand upon my brother, your servant. To you be all glory, honor and praise. Amen

Thank you Patti for that wonderful prayer. Heavenly father, I'm in full agreement of this prayer. I pray that Doug keeps his strength during this fast. I pray for all your blessing to pour out onto Doug during this time. May he rest peacefully when it's time to sleep. In Jesus name, amen
