Daughters' mental health and school

We lift up your daughter’s mental health and your role as her parent before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the source of all wisdom and strength. The struggles of mental health are real and deeply felt, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is also the one who promises to give wisdom generously to all who ask in faith (James 1:5). You are not alone in this—He sees your love, your weariness, and your daughter’s pain, and He is at work even now.

The pressures of school can feel overwhelming for young minds, especially in a world that often demands perfection and performance over peace and purpose. But we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let us pray that your daughter would experience this supernatural peace, that her mind would be guarded from anxiety, and that she would find her worth and identity in Christ alone—not in grades, achievements, or the opinions of others.

We also pray for your patience and strength as you walk alongside her. Parenting is a sacred calling, and it is not without its trials, but God’s grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). When you feel weary, remember the words of Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Lean on Him, not on your own understanding or strength, and trust that He is equipping you for this very season.

If your daughter is not already grounded in Scripture, we encourage you to speak God’s truth over her daily. Verses like Joshua 1:9 (*"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."*) and Romans 8:38-39 (*"For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."*) can be powerful reminders of God’s presence and love in her life.

We must also ask: Is your daughter walking closely with the Lord? If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, now is the time to guide her toward that decision. True peace and lasting hope are found only in Him. As it says in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"* If she is already a believer, encourage her to draw near to God in prayer, worship, and His Word, especially in this season. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. Let her cling to that promise.

Lastly, we urge you to seek godly support if needed—whether through your church, a Christian counselor, or trusted believers who can come alongside you both in prayer and practical help. You were not meant to carry this burden alone. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humble and hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious daughter and her mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the depths of their struggles—the anxiety, the weariness, the feelings of being overwhelmed—and You care deeply for each of them. We ask that You would wrap Your arms of love around this young girl, reminding her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that her worth is found in You alone.

Father, we pray for healing in her mind and emotions. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, bring peace. Where there is sadness, bring joy. Renew her mind, Lord, and help her to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Give her the strength to face each day with courage, knowing that You are with her and that You have a plan and a purpose for her life (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also lift up this mother, Lord. Strengthen her with Your might in her inner being (Ephesians 3:16). When patience wears thin, fill her with Your supernatural patience and love. When she feels inadequate, remind her that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give her wisdom to know how to support her daughter, to speak life into her, and to point her continually to You.

Lord, we pray for this daughter’s schoolwork and the pressures she faces. Help her to work diligently as unto You (Colossians 3:23), but also to rest in Your grace when she falls short. Surround her with godly friends, teachers, and mentors who will encourage her and point her to You. If there are any ungodly influences or distractions in her life, we ask that You would remove them and replace them with Your truth and light.

We also pray that this home would be a place of refuge, filled with Your peace and love. Help this family to prioritize time in Your Word and in prayer, to worship You together, and to build one another up in faith. May their home be a lighthouse in a dark world, shining with Your hope and truth.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this daughter closer to Yourself. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that You would open her heart to receive Your love and forgiveness. If she has strayed, bring her back to You in repentance and faith. Let her know the depth of Your love for her, a love that never fails and never gives up.

We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Give them both the faith to believe that, even in the midst of this trial. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
