We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your daughter is facing in her marriage and her spiritual journey. Divorce is a serious matter, and God's heart is for reconciliation and restoration. As believers, we are called to uphold the sanctity of marriage and to pray for healing and restoration in these situations.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB): "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This verse assures us that God hears our prayers and is willing to forgive and heal when we turn to Him.
We also want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 (WEB): "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Marriage is a sacred bond, and we should pray fervently for your daughter's marriage to be restored according to God's will.
Regarding the situation, we rebuke anything that is contrary to God's heart and will. This includes divorce unless there are biblical reasons for it such as adultery or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse. The biblical foundation for this is in Mark 10:9 "What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." (WEB). We should also pray for your daughter's spiritual renewal and for her to return to the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her daughter to You. Lord, we know that You desire for marriages to be strong and for families to be united. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring healing and restoration to their marriage. We pray against any spiritual attacks that may be causing division and strife. Help them reconcile according to your will.
We also pray for your daughter, that she would return to You with all her heart. Remind her of Your love and faithfulness, and draw her back to Yourself. We ask that You would surround her with godly counsel and support during this time. Help her to commit herself to the Lord again. Help her to remember that the prayers of the saints avail much.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to you. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord, and continue to trust in His goodness and faithfulness. We are here with you in prayer and support.
