Daughter

All, I have been trying to talk to my daughter for 4 days and she will not return my calls or texts. She is hurt and confused about this divorce her mother wants from me, which I am standing against. She is easily influenced by her mother who I believe has some emotional issues which has led to our marital issues and breakup. I very much love my daughter and want to be there for her. Please pray that she is safe, knows that God and her daddy loves her, and that she will talk to me again. Please pray for Allison (11)

Lord Jesus, my heart goes out to Steve. It's a difficult time for this family. There is hurt, fear, confusion, sadness and maybe blame. Lord, these are all tricks of the enemy to keep us confused and out of focus, to take our attention off whatever we are doing. I feel bad for this 11 year old daughter. She doesn't know who to trust or turn to so she is lashing out at her father. I pray for peace between father and daughter. I pray that Steven will have the opportunity for a relationship. May you turn this around, Lord. May you intervene and help this child to see that she doesn't have to take sides, that she can love both her parents and that they will love her no matter what. I just ask for your hand of mercy and grace here today. I ask for the door to open to communication. May thy will be done. Amen

Thank you for your prayers. I was finally able to talk to Allison last evening (Sunday). She is doing fine, but still sounds very hurt and alone. I am taking her to a church function on Wednesday evening called Rock the Park which they have every week. She seems very excited about going and spending some time with me. She said she misses me very much. I miss her too.
