We are truly sorrowful to hear about the struggles your daughter is facing, but we are thankful that you have reached out to us in Jesus' name. We will stand with you in prayer and trust God for a breakthrough.
Firstly, we commend you for your heartfelt cry to Jesus. It is only in His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written, "in no other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We need to address the serious issues at hand. Alcoholism is a form of drunkenness, which the Bible clearly warns against. "And don't get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit" Ephesians 5:18 WEB. Your daughter's drinking could potentially be harming her unborn child, which is a grave concern. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb" Psalm 139:13 WEB. We pray that she will take responsibility for the life growing inside her.
Moreover, her behavior is affecting her other child who is in foster care. It is important for your daughter to understand the gravity of her actions and the impact they have on her children. "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever" 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her daughter. Lord, we know that You are a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray for a complete turnaround in your daughter's life. Set her free from the bondage of alcoholism, and give her the strength to take responsibility for her children.
We pray for her unborn child, Lord, that You would protect and preserve this precious life. We also lift up the little one in foster care, that You would comfort and encourage her, and that You would work everything out for her good.
We pray for our sister, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to support her daughter and her grandchildren in these trying times.
Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted, and that You save those who are crushed in spirit. We claim Your promises in Jesus' name, and we trust You for a miracle.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your daughter and her children. Stand on the promises of God, and trust Him to work everything out for your good and His glory. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" Philippians 4:6 WEB.
