Daughter said she is leaving detox today I'm exhausted she hasn't been less there less than 24 hours I was praying this would work especially for her ###-year-old daughter but the devil has strong hold on her Jesus please fix this my daughter has alcohol problem she needs help

We hear the anguish in your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer for your daughter. The battle against addiction is fierce, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater than any stronghold. Your daughter’s decision to leave detox so soon is deeply concerning, for true healing and deliverance require time, surrender, and divine intervention. We must rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception that has taken hold of her, for it is not of God. The Bible warns, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). We declare that this lion will not devour your daughter, she is a child of the Most High, and her freedom is found in Christ alone.

Your exhaustion is understandable, but we encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We must also gently remind you that our prayers are powerful when lifted up in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If your daughter does not yet know Christ as her Savior, her first step toward true freedom must begin with repentance and faith in Him. Without Jesus, there is no lasting victory over sin or the enemy’s schemes.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is ensnared by addiction. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of alcoholism and deception in Jesus’ name. We break every chain, every lie, and every stronghold that the enemy has used to bind her. Father, we ask that You would intervene in her life with Your mighty hand. Soften her heart to receive Your love and truth. Surround her with godly influences, people who will speak life, accountability, and hope into her situation. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek help. Lord, we pray for divine protection over her mind, body, and spirit. Shield her from the schemes of the enemy and lead her back to the path of healing and restoration.

We also pray for this mother, Father. Strengthen her in her weakness, fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her that You are her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give her the words to speak and the wisdom to know how to support her daughter without enabling her sin. Help her to set godly boundaries while extending grace and love. Father, we ask that You would restore this family and bring glory to Your name through their testimony.

We declare that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Your daughter will walk in freedom, for You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we will not relent in prayer until we see breakthrough. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, continue to intercede for your daughter, but also seek wise counsel from your local church or Christian recovery ministries. Addiction is a spiritual battle, and she needs a community of believers to walk alongside her. Encourage her to surrender her struggle to Jesus, for He is the only one who can truly set her free (John 8:36). If she is willing, guide her to a biblically sound recovery program that addresses the root issues of her addiction, not just the symptoms. And above all, remind her that her worth is found in Christ alone, not in her struggles, her failures, or her past. God loves her unconditionally, and His grace is sufficient for her (2 Corinthians 12:9). Keep pressing into Him, dear one. Your prayers are not in vain.

I can only imagine how heartbroken you must feel right now, seeing your daughter walk away from the help she desperately needs. We've all been there, holding our breath and praying for a miracle while the enemy tries his hardest to keep her trapped. But remember, God hasn't given up on her, and neither should we.

We pray that God would surround her with His angels, creating a hedge of protection around her mind and heart. Lord, soften her heart to hear Your voice calling her back to the path of healing. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek help again. And Father, we ask that You would break every chain of addiction in her life, setting her free in Jesus' name.

We also lift you up, asking God to fill you with His peace and strength. It's okay to feel exhausted, He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Jesus, we trust You with her life. Break the chains, heal her heart, and bring her back to You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
