We hear your heartbreak and desperation, and we lift this situation up before the Lord with heavy hearts. Addiction is a fierce battle, but we know that nothing is impossible with God. Your daughter is in a critical moment, one that could determine not only her future but the well-being of her child. We stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord can break every chain and restore what has been broken.

First, we must address the gravity of this situation with truth and love. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Addiction defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, and it also endangers the life and soul of her child. This is not just a struggle with substances, it is a spiritual battle. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name, and we declare that your daughter’s mind, body, and spirit belong to the Lord. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

We also recognize the weight of the consequences she faces. The fear of losing her child is real, and it is a sobering reality that should drive her to repentance and change. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Your daughter has a God-given responsibility to raise her child in the ways of the Lord, and this moment is a call to step into that role with seriousness and surrender. We pray that the Lord would use this consequence as a catalyst for transformation, not just for her sake, but for the sake of her child’s future.

We must also address the mention of prayer "in Jesus’ name" at the end of your request. While we are grateful that you recognize the power of praying in His name, we want to emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your daughter does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, this is the first and most critical step in her healing. We pray that she would surrender her life to Him, for He alone can break the chains of addiction and restore her soul.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter and her child. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of addiction in her life. We rebuke the spirit of bondage and declare freedom in Jesus’ name. Father, we pray that she would stay the full seven days in detox, not just for the sake of avoiding CPS, but because she recognizes her need for You. Give her the strength to endure, the clarity to see the path ahead, and the humility to surrender her will to Yours.

Lord, we pray for her child, that You would protect and cover this little one. We ask that You would surround this child with Your angels and place godly influences in their life. Father, we pray that this situation would be a turning point, not just for her, but for her entire family. Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and bring redemption to this family.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the authorities involved. Give them compassion and clarity as they make decisions that will impact this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation.

Father, we ask that You would draw this daughter to Yourself. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that she would recognize her need for Jesus. Soften her heart, open her eyes, and let her experience Your love and grace in a tangible way. May she turn to You with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that Your power is greater than any addiction, any fear, or any consequence. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

To you, the parent or loved one carrying this burden, we want to offer encouragement. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you and lift you up in prayer. You are not alone in this battle.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support for yourself. Addiction affects the entire family, and it is important to care for your own spiritual and emotional well-being. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Lean on the Lord and on those He has placed in your life to walk alongside you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is a God of restoration. Joel 2:25 says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." No matter how broken things may seem, God can restore what has been lost. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust in His promises. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you or your daughter.

We hear the weight in your words, the fear, the love, and the urgent hope wrapped up in those seven days. When someone we care about is in the grip of addiction, it can feel like watching them slip underwater again and again, reaching for their hand, desperate for them to grasp it and hold on this time.

Addiction is a fierce opponent. It often promises short-term relief but delivers long-term pain, pulling people away from the very things they most want: connection, safety, and the ability to care for those they love. That pull is real, and it’s powerful. But so is the fact that your ### is there, in detox, right now. That step alone took courage she may not even know she has.

We’re praying with you that she stays. Not just for the seven days, but that in those days, something shifts, a moment of clarity, a seed of hope, a glimpse of a different path. For now, her safety and the safety of her ### are the immediate needs we’re holding before God. If she hasn’t already connected with a treatment professional who can walk alongside her beyond this week, we gently encourage that, you don’t have to carry this burden alone, and neither does she.

We’re also praying for you, the one standing in the gap. Loving someone through addiction is exhausting and lonely. Make sure you’re taking in some encouragement for your own soul, even in small ways.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this ### and her ### to You right now. Sustain this ### through the hard hours of detox, steady her body, calm her fears, and give her the resolve to stay. Surround her with wise and caring professionals. We pray for her ###'s safety and for a future where they can be together in health and wholeness. Hold this family in Your mercy, and guide them toward hope that lasts. In Your name, Amen.

Beloved friend, I have read your plea with a heavy heart, yet I am lifted by the confidence you place in our Lord Jesus Christ. You cry out for your daughter, and such a cry as this never falls to the ground unheard before the throne of grace. You are not unlike Hannah of old, who in her anguish poured out her soul for her child, and the Lord remembered her. Take heart, for the God who hearkened to her is your God still.

This is a solemn hour, a last opportunity, as you say. Yet mark how the grace of our sovereign Lord delights to work at such moments. When all human strength is spent, when the will is broken and the heart is like adamant, the Spirit of God can secretly melt the ice and dissolve the rock. The “shall” of grace is mightier than the “I will” of pride, and the stubbornest rebel may feel sweetly constrained to yield. Do not look so much to the seven days as to the eternal arm that can sustain her through them. The Lord knows how to accomplish His purposes without violating the nature He has made, and He can make the most unwilling willing in the day of His power.

Lay hold of this promise for your daughter: commit her into the hands of Him who, when He registers His people, writes each name individually. He knows her name, her sorrows, and the cords of sin that bind her. He knows also the little child whose future hangs in the balance. Pray, dear soul, with that holy importunity which will not let the Angel go. Dedicate her afresh to God, as Hannah did Samuel, and believe that the prayer offered in faith shall return in blessing. Neither imagine that the case is too hard, for the Holy Spirit can reach as many as He pleases and subdue the most desperate. There is no limit to results when He puts forth His power.

Let this trial drive you nearer to the Christ, the holy Child Jesus, who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He is the way, the only way, and He delights to answer those who come to Him with empty hands, flinging themselves upon His strength. Your daughter’s service of repentance and recovery, if God shall grant it, will be all of grace from first to last, nothing legal, nothing of human merit, but a free gift from the Giver of every good and perfect thing. Therefore, hope against hope, and look for the mighty working of Jehovah’s arm.

Now, go to your knees afresh, beloved, and say, “Lord, Thou hast said that if we ask anything according to Thy will, Thou hearest us. I plead the blood of Jesus over my daughter and her child. Let her stay these seven days, and let this be the beginning of an everlasting rescue. But above all, save her soul, and let her be written among the living in Jerusalem.” Amen. May the peace that passeth understanding keep your heart and mind.
