Almighty Father, help us to stop trying to work things out before their times have come. Work within our hearts and minds, allowing us to accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to our attention, prompt us to ask You whether or not it is part of today’s agenda. If it isn’t, help us release it into Your care and go on about our day. As we follow this practice more and more, unfold a beautiful simplicity in our lives. Let Your Holy Words ring in our ears assuring us of a time for everything, and everything in its time. Help us be patient and trusting, Father, realizing that a life lived close to You is not complicated or cluttered. As we focus on Your presence, many things that once troubled us will lose their power over us. Though the world around us is messy and confusing, lead us to that perfect peace which comes through an intimate, daily relationship with You. You have overcome the world and have told us these things, so that in You we may have peace. Grant us the patience and the trust to fully receive this generous blessing. Thank You that through the blood of Your Son’s humble sacrifice, we have been redeemed. In His name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
