Marriage Prayer: Patience With My ###

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this day and the opportunity to love each other. We know we are not always the best at loving one another, but we do start out every day trying! We pray that You help us to be better with each passing day. We specifically ask that Your Holy Spirit would help us to have more patience with each other. Often times we are short with one another. We don’t want to be impatient husbands or wives. We want to lovingly endure, wait with self-control, and respect each other through patience.

My wife is not Christian. I love her, she is a good person with amazing qualities, and I envy her compassion. I cannot change her, but I am content with the idea of showing her the best me to the credit of Jesus Christ. Has anyone here had this experience or is currently dealing with it? Asking for possible advice.
