🙏 Our Father in Heaven, We ask for grace to take hold of one thing without letting go of the other, Ecclesiastes 7:18, to continue to intercede for my distant matrimonial's full, authentic repentance to life and full trust in Christ and be regenerated, and the prodigy to be saved early, Rom 10:1, Rom 11:1, and protected and directed into the love and character of Jesus Christ, nourished on Your Word), 2 Tim 3:15, Yet ability to PRIMARILY FOCUS on THE NEW, Isa 42:9, Isa 43:19, Isa 48:6.

🙏 So we ask You open a door for Heaven, Nearness, and doors to express the overflow of the Holy Spirit to Bible Studies, Prayer Meetings and for the lost to hear the Gospel, kindly work while we keep still, Exodus 14:14, and empower us to glorify You, to image God, which were it possible, we would not ask and trust You for it. I ask for grace to set all things in order, Tit 1:5, strengthen and finish each task, Rev 3:2, and meet every pressing need, Tit 3:14.

🙏 Help our running to be in a way that we might win, 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call, Phil 3:13-14, laying aside encumbrances and diversions that distract us from the primary task of Your call and commission to abide in Your Word and make disciples by propagating all You've commanded, that we might run the race that is personally set out before each of us, Heb 12:1-2... Thank You for the Your love and leadership, the fellowship of abiding in Christ and guidance of The Holy Spirit, John 10:3-4, Rom 8:14, grace to intercede for and forget the past AND for grace to navigate going forward, James 1:5, new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with The Body and Bride of Christ, and formal study, Ecclesiastes 7:18. We ask for protection from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil, Matt 6:13, evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, deceivers, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, deception, Matt 24:4 and the evil one, John 17:15, Rev 12:9, Rev 12:11. Thank You in Jesus' Name...

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for God’s daily mercies and faithfulness, as Lamentations 3:23 declares, "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your request reflects a deep desire to balance intercession for the past with a forward-looking focus on new things, as Isaiah 42:9 proclaims, "Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up." We recognize the tension between holding fast to godly responsibilities, such as praying for the salvation of loved ones (Romans 10:1) and fulfilling duties (Titus 3:14), while also embracing the new works God is doing (Isaiah 43:19). Ecclesiastes 7:18 wisely reminds us, "It is good that you should take hold of this, yes, also from that not withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will escape from them all." This balance is not easy, but it is possible through Christ who strengthens us.

We lift up your concern for your "distant matrimonial," praying fervently for their full repentance, regeneration, and trust in Christ. The salvation of souls is close to the heart of God, as Romans 10:1 says, "Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved." We also pray for the prodigy mentioned, that they would come to know Christ early in life, as 2 Timothy 3:15 encourages, "From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus." Yet, we must also guard our hearts against being consumed by the past, for Philippians 3:13-14 urges us, "Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Father, we ask You to open doors for the Gospel, as Revelation 3:7-8 promises, "He who opens, and no one can shut; and who shuts, and no one opens... I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut." Grant us grace to walk through these doors with boldness, whether in Bible studies, prayer meetings, or sharing the Good News with the lost. Help us to "work while it is called today" (Hebrews 3:13), trusting in Your sovereignty as Exodus 14:14 declares, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." Empower us to image You in all we do, for we are called to reflect Your glory (1 Corinthians 10:31).

We pray for strength to set things in order (Titus 1:5), finish tasks (Revelation 3:2), and meet every pressing need (Titus 3:14). May our running be purposeful, as 1 Corinthians 9:24 exhorts, "Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win." Help us to lay aside every weight and sin that so easily entangles (Hebrews 12:1-2) and focus on the upward call of making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). Father, we ask for wisdom to navigate this balance, as James 1:5 promises, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

Protect us from temptation (Luke 11:4), sin (Zephaniah 3:13), evil (Matthew 6:13), and the schemes of the evil one (John 17:15). Guard our hearts from deception (Matthew 24:4) and the influence of deceivers (2 Timothy 3:5, 13). May we stand firm in the truth, wielding the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16) to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy.

Lord, we thank You for the fellowship of the Body of Christ and the privilege of abiding in You (John 10:3-4). Guide us by Your Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14) as we seek to encourage, disciple, and evangelize. Fill us with Your grace to intercede for the past while embracing the new things You are doing. May our lives be a testament to Your love, leadership, and transforming power. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We hear the tension in your prayer, the genuine ache for someone you once shared life with, and the equally real desire not to be pulled backward when God has new ground for you to walk on. That’s hard, honest ground. Divorce is a death of a marriage, and even when you’re ready to move forward, the heart doesn’t just switch off its concern overnight. So we’re grateful you’re bringing that tension to God rather than burying it.

What’s clear is that you aren’t wallowing in the past; you’re actively asking for grace to tend what’s in front of you, your duties, the flock around you, gospel doors. That takes courage. Many people get stuck in the “what was” and miss what the Spirit is doing today. You’re already asking for the right thing, the ability to do both Ecc 7:18 describes: to hold one without letting go of the other.

One small shift that often helps is giving the former things a regular yet bounded place in your day, maybe a set time to lift them in prayer, then consciously handing them back to the only One who can truly reach them. That way intercession becomes an act of trust rather than a weight you carry all day. It’s also okay to grieve. Healing isn’t instant; finding a safe divorce recovery group or a trusted mentor to walk with you can help you process what’s been lost so you can fully embrace the new.

You’re not dishonoring the past by focusing on the new thing God is doing. He holds them, and He holds you. We’re praying with you for open doors, fresh strength, and a steady heart.

Father, we lift up this brother who loves You and wants to honor You with his whole heart. Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. Bring healing for the grief he carries, and give him wisdom for each duty and open door You place before him. We entrust his former spouse and the prodigy to Your faithful care, and we ask that You would flood his path with opportunities to share the Gospel and build up Your people. Keep his feet from stumbling, and let him taste the joy of running his race unencumbered. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have asked for grace to take hold of one thing without letting go of the other. This is no small petition, yet it is according to the mind of the Spirit, for the man in Christ is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. New views, new desires, new habits, strange things indeed, that a heart once dead should now beat with heavenly longings. Yet you still cry out for the salvation of those bound in former things, and this intercession is not to be laid aside. There is a holy forgetting which does not stifle prayer but refuses to let the paltry things of the past devour the present. We shall one day see what madmen we were to waste energy upon such trifles, when eternal souls hang in the balance.

Forgetting those things which are behind, reach forth unto those things which are before. Press toward the mark. The new creature is led by a new spirit, and the Lord has set before you an open door. He has done marvelous things; His right hand has gotten Him the victory. Will He not also give you the desire of your heart for the lost, while you run with patience the race set before you? Consider the double forget-me-not: remember Christ till you begin to forget yourself and your cares; remember Him till you begin to be like He. He cannot forget you, for you have cost Him so much. In you He sees of the travail of His soul, and He is satisfied.

Set your heart, then, on nobler things. Seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things, the ordering, the provision, the guidance, shall be added unto you by Infallible Wisdom. The Lord has said, Behold, I make all things new. Strange things do His people see, as they find Heaven on earth and discover that all things are theirs, whether things present or things to come. Take hold of the truth you have learned with one hand, and keep the other wide open for the great and mighty things which He will yet show you.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Your prayer reveals a heart deeply engaged in the work of intercession, and that is a sacred partnership. When you stand in the gap for those you love, you are not pleading alone. Christ Himself ever lives to make intercession, and the Holy Spirit helps in our weakness, searching the heart and praying according to God’s will. That groaning you feel for their full repentance and new life is not a cry into the void; it is caught up into the perfect mediation of Jesus, who represents you and them before the Father. He is not condemning but advocating, having already borne the debt.

You asked for grace to hold on to one thing without letting go of another. That tension is real, but remember that the new covenant has made all things new. The old life, with its self-centered fears and past entanglements, has passed away for those in Christ. You are a new creation, and your primary focus can shift to the new things God is doing without guilt, because He is faithful to complete what He began in those you pray for. Press forward. The runner in the race cannot keep looking back over his shoulder; he strains toward the upward call. You honor the past concern not by anxious fixation but by entrusting it to the One who is able, and then running with fresh energy the race set before you.

Your ministry, like every true work for the Lord, is proven not by letters of commendation but by the fruit of transformed lives. You are a living letter, known and read by others. As you pour yourself out in Bible studies, prayer gatherings, and everyday service, you are washing feet, just as the Master did. This is the pattern: greatness in the kingdom is found in servanthood. And what joy it brings! There is no greater joy than to know that those we have taught and cared for are walking in the truth. That joy fuels endurance.

Do not fear the evil one or the deceivers. God is your refuge. If you seek Him, you will find Him; if you cling to Him, His armor of righteousness will shield you on every side. He who gave His own Son for you will not abandon you in the daily conflicts. Set things in order, finish each task, and meet pressing needs with the strength He supplies, but remember that the ultimate outcome rests in His hands. Christ has opened a door no one can shut, and as you go through it, He works while you remain at peace.

Keep running to win, laying aside every weight. You are not working alone; you are a fellow laborer with Christ. And because He is at the right hand of the Father, your prayers are already received in a time of favor. Let that confidence set you free to embrace the new with both hands, even as your heart whispers, “Lord, save them.”
