Custody Arbitration Today

I ask your prayers for me today as I enter into a custody/visitation arbitration meeting with my wife who continues to seek divorce. I am sad that things have gotten this far and there seems to be no end to the evil that grips her. She has also sent a note to our lawyers telling them that I should not discuss what is going on with my daughter. She asked me why I was sad yesterday and I told her that this meeting was making me sad and I am sad our family is breaking up. Apparently I cannot be honest with her. I have been praying day and night for the Lord to deliver us from the evil of divorce, but my prayers are still unanswered. I pray for strength and peace today and hope that God's Grace watches over all of us during the arbitration. I also pray the God ends our divorce and that our family reunites....I hope I get a sign soon that this is working. My heart cannot take much more.:cry:

Dear Lord,

Please help Steve to sense Your presence. Help him to trust You with the outcome today, regardless of what his desires are. Help him to understand that Your answer is not always the one we are asking for. But Your promises are true and You are always faithful. And You've promised those who have placed their faith in You that You would lead them and guide them, and protect them. And none of this has changed. Circumstances may not be what is ideal in our eyes, but we are limited. And we cannot see or know Your ultimate plan. Father give Steve the faith and courage he needs to walk this road with confidence and assurance that You stand beside him always. Help him to hear Your voice, and to obey, whatever You ask of him. And please bless him for that obedience. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Lord Jesus, I lift up your servant, Steve. I stand with him at the Throne of Grace and we call upon your mighty name for help. We invite your presence in this custody/arbitration meeting. We ask for truth and justice to prevail, that the needs of the children be met foremost and that all parties involved will be willing to make compromises to assure the children's best interest. Lord, may your hand of mercy be upon Steve and his wife. The enemy is spreading lies and wreaking havoc over this family. I pray for devine intervention. I pray your wisdom over all parties involved.

Lord, the wife's heart is hardened as a result of the forces of darkness. She can not see what she is doing to her family. I ask that you remove the blinders. I ask that you tear down the strongholds and open soften her heart. You know this family, their faults and their weakness, their concerns, their likes and dislikes. You know their hearts and their spirits. I pray for liberation. I pray for a miracle, that somehow, this situation would turn around and the adults would be able to come to terms with each other for their relationship and for the good of the children. Steve is trying so hard to make it work but he can't do it alone. We need a miracle. But mostly, we ask your will to be done.

Be with Steve. Give him your grace and peace to stand. Give him wisdom to speak the right words at the right time in a loving manner. Lord, we look expectantly to see what you will do for this family in crisis. We glorify your name. We thank you and praise you, Lord Jesus. Amen
