I'm afraid to pray anymore because whenever I pray for help, the situation that I was praying for seems to get 10 times worse. If I hold off on prayers for a while, things slowly start to get better on their own, but as soon as I pray about it, all hell breaks loose and things go terribly wrong. I don't know why this is happening to me but I wish I could make it stop. If anyone else has experienced something similar please let me know how you handled it and if you were ever able to make it stop.

This is the devil and its minions sneaking in to do their dirty work; anytime something moves you away from God/Jesus or His Word know the devil is involved.
To stop this character and its minions in their tracks be sure and repent of all past and present sins you can remember and read Psalm 91 and the first four verses of Psalm 68 each night before sleep (until you know them by heart) or anytime you feel a negative or evil presence. Also read the Word of God (The Tree of Light, Life, Love, Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge) daily knowing that doing so will sanctify and purify your whole being.

Hi Chrissy. I have a similar experience. It isn't directly related to me but the lady who lies upstairs from me. She reads cards and tells fortunes and things like that. She suffers from a lot of health issues and I suggested to her perhaps she was conjuring things that were harming her. Other things I have noticed about her wen she tells me something the opposite happens. She said I would be rich my whole life because pf my physical appearance (of course this is part of her fortune telling and I didn't take it seriously) but what happened next was a shock! I had been financially secure until she started talking about finances then was at rock bottom, couldn't even pay my rent! I have never made a direct connection but then other things happened, she said to me the neighbors were a great couple and within a couple weeks they broke up..... there are many other examples. I don't think she has mean intentions but I think she conjures up wicked spirts without knowing she is doing it. It sounds all very superstitious but I am wondering if you have been around someone who conjures spirits or anything like that? I started to pray more and more and more and I started to pray for others more often. I kept the spirit of JESUS around me. I talked to JESUS about all of it and even tough I didn't think she was mean I asked for protection. It has taken a few months but I am getting back on track. I am kind of scared to talk her but mention JESUS in every conversation. I know unexplained and scary things do happen so I do understand what you are going through.

Yes, I have had this happen. But, I keep on praying. I usually pry in tongues because of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. But is you do not believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues, you can still be an effective prayer warrior.
Jesus and the Holy Spirit are always praying for you about something. The Father is telling them what to pray about. You can ask the Holy Spirit and Jesus what they are praying about and they will tell you very quickly and then you can be in agreement with them about what they are praying for. That is powerful.

Many times I see where someone is saying that God is testing us during a time like this. I would prefer to think of it as a time God wants us to grow into a greater trust in Him. The door is open when we believe His Word over what we see, hear, taste, smell, and feel. If our faith in God depends on what we see, hear, taste, smell, or feel, then we need to have that faith that depends on what we read in His Word. His Word is more dependable.
