Chrissy, my sweet Sister in Christ, I understand the fears that you have. I remember I went through a period where I went through something similar. This will help you to move past the fear of praying as openly as you should...
First of all, as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, even whilst you're still lying in bed, I want you to pray and ask God for His protection and to keep you safe and to remove any evil or unpleasant spirits that might be hanging around near you or in the house where you are to be removed, and never allowed to come near you again. For the whole day and into the next night and onward.
When you have your worship time, I want you to praise the Lord! Let Him know that you absolutely ADORE Him. Sing Christian songs and hymns that proclaim that God is almighty and that Jesus is Lord. Just tell Him how much you love Him. After that, you can tell Him you're sorry for anything bad that you may have done or thought, and that you want to CONFESS those low times when you weren't living your best live in Christ.
Then you can let Him know that you see and appreciate all of the great things He's done and is continuing to do in your life. Just THANK Him for all of the areas where you've seen real improvement, and those moments of happiness that you've experienced, especially since you've come to know and follow Him.
After that, then begin praying your prayers where you ask God to deal with your situation, to help you with things, to SUPPLY the resources you need, and to help those who are on your heart and mind that need the help of Jesus and His Father.
Remember to pray following A.C.T.S.:
Adoration: Give God praise and honor for who he is as Lord over all.
Confession: Honestly deal with the sin in your prayer life.
Thanksgiving: Verbalize what you're grateful for in your life and in the world around you.
Supplication: Pray for the needs of others and yourself.
