Please pray for all my coworkers at my job. There is just so much going on with so many of them from our job being stressful and difficult to them quitting to personal struggles they're having. Thank you.

We lift up your coworkers before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move mightily in their lives during this challenging season. The workplace can indeed be a place of great stress, uncertainty, and personal trials, but we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You would bring peace to the chaos, wisdom to the confused, and hope to the weary among them.

Lord, we pray for those who are overwhelmed by the demands of their jobs. May they find strength in You, as Your Word promises, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let them experience Your presence as a refuge and a source of renewal. For those considering leaving their positions, we ask that You guide their steps and open doors according to Your perfect will. May they not be driven by fear or frustration, but by Your peace and purpose.

We also lift up those facing personal struggles, whether it be health, family, finances, or spiritual battles. Father, You see each one individually, and we ask that You meet them in their deepest needs. Comfort those who are grieving, heal those who are sick, and provide for those in lack. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Healer, and their Strength.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division, gossip, or strife that may be present in this workplace. Let Your love and unity prevail among them, so that they may encourage one another and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). May this environment become one where Your light shines brightly, drawing others to Christ through their witness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation. May Your will be done in each of their lives, and may they come to know You more deeply through this season. Amen.

We hear the weight in what you’ve shared, it sounds like you’re watching people you care about carry heavy loads, and the stress isn’t just in the job itself but in all the personal undertows that make hard seasons even harder. When a workplace becomes a place so many are leaving or struggling, it can feel like you’re standing in the middle of something unraveling, and that takes a toll on you, too.

Something small but real we’ve seen help in tense workplaces is simply showing up as a steady, non-anxious presence. You don’t need answers for everyone’s problems, and you certainly can’t fix what’s driving people out the door. But sometimes the person who stops by a coworker’s desk without an agenda, who remembers to ask how their kid’s situation turned out, who offers five undistracted minutes over coffee, you become a bit of ballast in the storm for them. A pastor we respect used to visit his people right where they worked, learning their rhythms and struggles firsthand, and he found that simply understanding someone’s daily reality opened doors for genuine care that never would have opened in a more formal setting. You’re already there, already seeing what’s going on. Let people know you see them.

With those who are leaving, a brief word of encouragement as they go can mean more than you know, letting them know their presence mattered, that you’re genuinely rooting for what comes next for them.

Father, we lift up this workplace and everyone in it. You see the stress grinding people down and the personal battles no one else knows about. Please bring relief where it’s needed, open doors for those who are leaving, and steady those who stay. Give this one wisdom about when to step in and when to simply be present, and guard their own heart from absorbing all the heaviness around them. In Jesus’ name.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Pray for them, as Job prayed for his offending friends, for “the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends.” Let us learn today to imitate the example of Job, and pray for our friends. This is a piece of personal service most reasonable, for have you not a personal religion? You long to have in your own heart the personal cry of adoption; nothing but vital personal union to the Son of God can ever satisfy you. What more reasonable than that you should give personal service, and that personal benefits enjoyed should be reciprocated by personal intercession?

Yet do not stop with prayer only; let your charity be of the heart. Consider their case; lay their sorrows to your own soul, and lend your eyes to weep and your heart to mourn. Did not Job declare, “Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? Was not my soul grieved for the poor?” Let the fact that God hath made of one blood all nations be a realized truth, and let no personal interests separate you from their burdens.

But you will say, “The trouble is so deep, and some are quitting, and the stress is overwhelming.” I know that you will be brought to death, and to the house appointed for all living, this Job arrived at through his own bodily feebleness, and you know it too. Yet in all this, sin not, nor charge God foolishly. If God could uphold Job when he was covered with boils, despised in their hearts, and his heart broke with anguish, you may be sure that He can support you and them! Look to Him for this Divine support. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, this was Job’s ultimatum, and it must be ours.

It is never wise to dispute with God. Let a man strive with his fellow, but not with his Maker. Job had to retract all his pleadings; if the case is heard as “Jehovah versus Job,” then Job yields the point unreservedly. We are wrong, God must be right! And some of us know in our inmost hearts that we never had peace until we accepted that plan of salvation, and that now, if it should be taken away from us, we would lose all the joy of existence, so cling to it, and bring these souls before the throne in that confidence.

Your concern for your coworkers is a mark of charity, and it is good that you bring them before the throne of grace. But let this prayer not be only a list of sorrows; let it become a school for your own soul. When you see the burdens around you, the stress, the departures, the private griefs, do not merely sigh and ask for relief. Recognize in this very turmoil an invitation to acquire the poverty of spirit which Christ blesses. The poor in spirit are not those humbled against their will by hard circumstances, but those who freely choose to lay aside their pride and their demand for comfort. In the furnace of a difficult workplace, you have a daily opportunity to practice this voluntary humility: to bear with others, to refuse grumbling, to offer a kind word when you yourself are weary. This is a living prayer, more eloquent than words.

And when you pray for them, ask not only that their troubles be taken away, but that their faith may become as gold tried in fire. The apostle rejoiced over those who took joyfully the spoiling of their goods because they saw Him who is invisible. So too, when the peace of your office is spoiled, when a valued coworker leaves, when a silent struggle weighs upon a colleague, fix your eyes on the unseen God who permits these things for the perfecting of souls. Pray that they, and you, may possess such full assurance of faith that even the loss of what is dear becomes a cause of spiritual gladness. Do not let the stress drive you to mere survival; let it drive you to your knees, and then rise to show the face of Christ to those who are sinking. A calm soul in the midst of the storm is a beacon. By enduring with thanksgiving, you preach a sermon without words. This is how I shall pray with you: that God not merely calm the tempest, but strengthen the sailors, and that in this testing, many may learn to see the One who stands beside them, invisible but ever-present.

I understand the weight you’re carrying as you watch your coworkers go through so much. A stressful, difficult job and the personal struggles that surface around you can make the whole atmosphere feel heavy, almost like the ground is shifting under everyone’s feet. It reminds me of how Job’s world collapsed in a single day, everything stripped away, his friends arriving full of judgment rather than comfort. When people around us are quitting or suffering, our first instinct might be to search for a simple cause or a quick fix. But the book of Job shows us that suffering isn’t always tied to something someone did wrong. Your coworkers may be in places where they can’t see any purpose, just as Job couldn’t understand his own ordeal.

The temptation is to become like Eliphaz or Bildad, offering tidy explanations that only wound more deeply. What your coworkers need most right now likely isn’t a diagnosis but the steady presence of someone who cares. Job’s friends were at their best when they sat with him in silence before they started speaking. Your request for prayer is a beautiful way to bring them before the One who does understand every hidden struggle. I will pray that God meets each person in their specific need, that amid stress and uncertainty they would encounter His compassion, and that you would be a genuine comfort rather than a miserable one.

Remember, too, that Job cried out for a mediator, someone who could stand between a holy God and a hurting man. We know that mediator is Jesus, who walked through our world and can sympathize with our frailty. He is not distant from the pressures of a demanding job or the ache of personal hardship. As you lift up these coworkers, you can trust that Jesus stands ready to give grace, and that no chaotic season is outside His sight. I’ll be praying for calm in the workplace, for wisdom as you interact with those who are faltering, and for each coworker to find true refuge in the Lord who restores what is broken.
