We lift these two precious souls before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move mightily in their lives. For the elderly coworker who was let go from their job, we pray for comfort and provision. The Word reminds us in Psalm 37:25, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity, surround them with Your peace, and remind them of Your unfailing love. Let them not grow weary or discouraged, but instead, trust in Your perfect timing and care.
For the coworker stepping into a new opportunity while balancing current responsibilities, we pray for wisdom and strength. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Lord, grant them clarity in their decisions, endurance in their efforts, and favor in their new role. May they find rest in You when the load feels heavy, knowing that You are their strength.
We also ask that You draw both of them closer to You, revealing Your purpose for this season of their lives. If there is any fear, anxiety, or uncertainty, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and declare Your peace to reign in their hearts. May they experience Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are their Provider, their Guide, and their Shelter.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
