Several people, sadly, even clergy, have actually directed the following scripture at this homeless, elder woman of God.
Psalms Ch.37 v.25 (KJV)
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Indeed, king David is one my favorite kings in the scriptures. But, he was not King of kings. He also couldn't seem to see that Bathsheba was another man's wife, any more than he could see that he was taking another man's life. Jesus, however, did foresee His righteous ones forsaken by man, and cast out into situations where we would have to "beg" bread. Therefore, beware when you manipulate food or withhold it as this city's church sponsored "soup kitchen" did yesterday, and has done several times before, in response to defeat in sports.

Luke Ch.6 v.22 1(KJV)
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Even as a monarch, David had to repent; but, King Jesus never needed to repent for anything. Love me some transformed king David. But, I worship (obey) King Jesus.
That said, while some walk after the flesh in religiosty and ritualism, I have been spiritually walking in the following covenant since God baptized me in His Holy Spirit nearly sixteen years ago:

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his Word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My name’s sake, said, "Let the LORD be glorified": but He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by Me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. For, When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. Therefore, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. And "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the LORD.
In Jesus' Righteous and Holy Name, I walk in this covenant promise. Amen

Afterthought: I could never have imagined a city, especially one this size, gathering herself together against one elder woman of God for any reason; but sports?!!! What a disgrace. This behavior may reflect the character of this American city, in 2026. But God, remains faithful to His Word and just in His judgements throughout the generations.
