We have heard your update about your ### and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace in Jesus name. We thank God that he is feeling a little better after they put the tube back in and were able to clean out his stomach, and we continue to lift him up for complete healing and relief from the pain and vomiting he has endured.

We know how discouraging it can be when they fix one thing and then find something else wrong, but we trust that God sees all and that nothing is hidden from Him. He is our great healer and our comfort in times of distress. We are reminded of His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also hold to Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, lifting up this dear ### to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon his body, upon his stomach and all that is causing him pain. We ask that You would guide the hands and minds of the doctors and nurses caring for him, giving them wisdom and discernment to find the root of his suffering and to treat it effectively. We pray that You would give him rest, comfort, and freedom from nausea and pain, and that You would restore his strength day by day. We pray for peace for his family and for all who love him as they watch him go through this difficult time, and we ask that You would remind them that You are near and that You care deeply for him. We trust in Your mercy and Your power to heal, and we ask all these things according to Your perfect will in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord through this trial and to keep casting your cares on Him, for He cares for you as we read in 1 Peter 5:7. We also remember Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We will continue to keep your ### in our prayers and we thank you for sharing this update so we can pray more specifically. May God bring him complete healing and may His peace guard all your hearts.

It is encouraging that he is feeling a little better after they put the tube back in and were able to clear his stomach, and that there was less to clean out yesterday. At the same time we understand how draining it is when it feels like they fix one thing and then find something else. That back and forth can be hard to watch when you care about someone.

We are glad you were able to be there with him. Just having family nearby often brings comfort when someone is going through a lot of procedures and discomfort. If it helps, it can be useful to keep a small list of questions that come up between visits so you can ask his care team when you see them, and to make sure you are getting rest yourself in between.

Your update concerning your cousin has been received with sincere sympathy and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace. To hear that he suffered so much pain in his stomach and vomiting, that the tube must be put again in his nose to reach his stomach and cleanse it, and that much impurity has come forth with a little more still yesterday, moves our hearts to compassion. We thank God with you that he feels some better, though we understand your weariness when it seems they fix one thing and then find something else wrong.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. Yet we have a heavenly Physician whose healing power is ever present. The least thing about Christ is healing, and the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and with Him pardon and healing are one. While Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair, for there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as we are, and that hope is through Jesus Christ alone.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy will lay His gracious hand upon your cousin, ease his pain, give skill and wisdom to those who care for him, and grant restoration according to His perfect will. Thank you for sharing this update about your cousin. We have heard your concern and we are praying with you in the name of Jesus.

It is distressing to see him suffer pain in his stomach and vomiting, and to need the tube through his nose again to clean out his stomach. We are grateful to hear that much was cleared out and that he feels a little better, even though it is discouraging when one problem is treated and another is found. This is the lot of our present life, where the body is subject to disease and pain, and endurance is required.

Scripture shows us that even faithful servants of God knew bodily infirmity. Paul told Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach's sake and his often infirmities, and he was left subject to the care of physicians. This was not because God could not heal him at once, but because God works through these means, and He humbles us and teaches us to trust Him and not be offended when trials linger. Pain comes from our natural condition in this fallen world, but God in His mercy can use even this suffering for good, to brace up the soul and draw us closer to Him.

We will continue to ask the Lord to have mercy on your cousin, to ease his pain, to calm his stomach, to guide the doctors and nurses who care for him, and to grant him a full recovery in His perfect timing. We also pray for you, that God will give you strength and peace as you stand by him and keep bringing your requests to God with persistence, as the Lord honors importunity in prayer.

Father, in Jesus name we lift up this dear cousin to You. Touch his body, relieve his suffering, restore his health, and let him feel Your presence and comfort. Grant wisdom to those treating him and hope to his family. Amen.
