We hear your heart for this man you are courting, and we lift him before the Lord with great care. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the gift of life and the opportunity to intercede for this brother in Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would grant him wisdom to know his limits and the discipline to rest when his body signals the need. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:7-8, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." We pray that he would lean not on his own understanding but trust in You with all his heart, acknowledging You in all his ways so that You may direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We rebuke any spirit of pride or overworking that may be causing him to push beyond what is healthy. Help him to remember that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and he is to honor You with it (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Grant him the strength to prioritize rest and self-care, knowing that even Jesus withdrew to quiet places to pray and rest (Luke 5:16).
Father, we also pray for his complete healing and restoration. We declare over him the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Let Your healing power flow through every part of his body, removing pain and renewing his strength. May he experience the fullness of life that You intend for him, as it is written in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
We also want to gently encourage you both in this season of courtship. Remember that the purpose of courtship is to discern whether this man is the spouse God has prepared for you, with marriage as the ultimate goal. Pray together and seek the Lord’s will, ensuring that your relationship honors Him in every way. Guard your hearts and minds, and keep your interactions pure, as the Bible instructs us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Let your relationship be built on Christ, so that whatever the outcome, it brings glory to God.
Lord, we ask that You would guide both of them in this journey. May they seek Your face together, growing in faith and love for You. If it is Your will, unite them in a godly marriage that reflects the love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If not, grant them the grace to accept Your plan with peace and trust in Your goodness.
We declare that this brother is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we speak life, health, and strength over him. May he walk in the fullness of Your blessings, and may his life be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
