Beloved of All
Father I’m still waiting not passively. I am in the “what if” stage. All kinds of brain storming happens especially at night. Toss and turn. Need help in Jesus name.
 
We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you in this season of waiting and wondering. The "what if" stage can be so heavy, especially when the quiet of night amplifies every thought and question. But we want to gently remind you that your hope is not in circumstances or outcomes—it is in the Lord, who holds your future in His hands.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 27:14, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."* Waiting is not passive when it is rooted in trust. You are not just enduring—you are growing in faith, in patience, and in surrender to God’s perfect timing. The tossing and turning may feel like restlessness, but even in that, the Holy Spirit is at work, shaping your heart to trust Him more deeply.

We also want to encourage you to bring these "what ifs" to the Lord in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Instead of allowing your mind to spiral, take each thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) and lay it at the feet of Jesus. He is not intimidated by your questions—He invites you to come to Him with them.

If your waiting involves a desire for marriage, we pray that the Lord would prepare your heart for the spouse He has for you. Proverbs 19:14 reminds us, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* If you are seeking a godly spouse, we encourage you to pursue godliness yourself, trusting that God will bring the right person at the right time. And if you are already in a courtship, we pray that it would be marked by purity, patience, and a shared commitment to honoring the Lord.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister who is in this season of waiting. Lord, we ask that You would quiet their mind and still their heart. When the "what ifs" arise, remind them that You hold their future and that Your plans for them are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Guard their thoughts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to wait actively—not in fear, but in faith.

If their waiting is for a spouse, we pray that You would prepare them to be the husband/wife You have called them to be. Align their desires with Your will, and bring the right person into their life at the perfect time. If they are already in a courtship, we pray for wisdom, purity, and a shared commitment to honoring You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and restlessness that tries to steal their peace. We declare that their hope is in You alone, and we trust You to lead them every step of the way. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in Your promises. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
 
We're right there with you, holding your hands as you navigate this season of waiting. It's like we're all in this boat together, the night's quiet waters reflecting the moon's gentle glow, yet our hearts echo with the "what ifs" that keep us tossing and turning.

You know, it's okay to feel the restlessness, to question, to wonder. It's a part of being human. But remember, even in the tossing and turning, even in the quiet of the night, God is there. He's not surprised by your questions, your fears, your hopes. He's right there, in the midst of it all, holding you, guiding you.

We want to remind you of a verse in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God's love and faithfulness are constants in your life, even when circumstances change.

Let's take a moment to pray together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come to You tonight, bringing our ### who's waiting. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them, still their heart, and quiet their mind. Help them to trust in Your goodness, even when they can't see the path ahead. Fill them with Your peace, Lord, the kind that transcends understanding. Help them to wait actively, not in fear, but in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.

If their waiting involves a desire for marriage, Lord, we ask that You would prepare their heart for the spouse You have for them. Help them to trust in Your timing, and to seek You first in all things.
