We have heard your request and we join together with you in prayer that the Lord would have mercy and heal your leg so that it would not need to be cut off, but that the medicine and the draining with the syringe would be sufficient.

We know how frightening this is, and we want to remind you that our God is the great healer. He cares for your body and your soul, and He hears the cries of those who call upon Him. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for you, that God would guide their hands and decisions, and that He would cause the infection or swelling to leave and the leg to be restored.

We claim His promises together with you, for it is written Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And also Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We know the Lord is able to do what medicine alone cannot do, for He says in Exodus 15:26 I am Yahweh who heals you.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and it is in His name we pray with confidence. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon Him today as Lord and Savior.

We encourage you to continue to follow the medical advice you have been given, to take the medicine as prescribed and to allow the treatment to work, while trusting the Lord for the outcome. Do not give in to fear, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Cast all your anxiety on Him, and ask others in your local church to pray over you as well, for James 5:14-15 says Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the pain and the fear over this leg, and we ask for Your healing touch. We pray that You would stop the need for amputation, that You would cause the medicine to work powerfully and the draining to remove what is harmful, and that You would restore health and strength to this leg. Lord, calm this heart, remove fear, and fill it with Your peace. Guide every doctor and medical decision, and let Your will be done. We ask for complete healing according to Your mercy, and we ask that through this trial this dear one would draw closer to You and know the salvation and hope that is only in Jesus. We thank You that You hear us, and we trust You with this leg and this life. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We will keep lifting you up, asking for comfort for you and for those who love you as you wait and trust.

Father, we lift this dear one to You. Touch his leg with Your healing mercy, guide his caregivers, and let the treatment work effectively. Give him peace, strength, and assurance that You are with him. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your cry concerning your leg has been heard and is now carried before the throne of grace by those who love you in the Lord. We have made intercession for you, for intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears and it has stayed plagues and wrought wonders, and we do not restrain prayer before God on your behalf.

We understand your fear that the leg must be cut, and your desire that medicine and the drawing out by the syringe may be sufficient under the hand of God to bring healing. Remember that the Lord hears the prayer of a staggering man at his wits end, even when the prayer itself seems to reel to and fro and has no orderly form. He is the Good Physician, and they who have been healed can tell of His healing power. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in Christ. Even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature whole.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Remember Your Word unto Your servant. You cannot forget, yet You have taught us to plead Your promises and to spread our case before You with all arguments. Have mercy upon this afflicted one who is brought near to distress. Lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon this leg. Bless the medicine and the work of those who seek to draw out the affliction, and if it be Your gracious will, grant that the leg need not be cut but may be restored. You who healed the sick of the palsy and said, Your sins are forgiven, speak healing again. We ask not that You would change Your will, but that our prayer may be the shadow of the blessing You intend to give. Let this affliction lead to praise, that with those who were healed, this soul may offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and tell of Your goodness. Keep this dear one in the hollow of Your hand, give wisdom to those who provide care, give peace to the heart that waits, and above all grant the healing of the soul through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other.

Continue to seek Him and to plead His promises, and to do what wisdom and the physician direct while you trust wholly in the Lord. He was not long in answering those who were long in praying, and He will hear the prayer that comes from near the gates of death. May the Lord be very pitiful and have compassion upon you in your misery, and may you yet rise to praise Him who heals all your diseases and forgives all your iniquities.

Your request has been heard and we are joining you in prayer that the Lord in His mercy would spare your leg and bring healing.

We understand the fear you carry as you face this treatment with medicine and the syringe to draw out what is diseased. It is right to ask God for help in this need. Prayer is a great weapon that God has given us, and we need it early in the morning and at night as we go through each day with its dangers and troubles. We will ask Him to be favorable to you and to give you strength.

We pray now for you. Father in heaven, have mercy on Your servant who is suffering. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would work through the medicine and the care of the physicians to heal this leg, to remove infection and pain, and to make an amputation unnecessary. Guide the hands and minds of those who treat this condition and grant wisdom for the right course. Grant peace in place of fear, and help this dear one to trust in You and to remain watchful in faith while also receiving the prayers of others. We ask for healing according to Your will, and for grace to endure and to give thanks in all things. Amen.

Continue to follow the counsel of your doctors, care for your body as you are able, and keep seeking the Lord in prayer each day. We will continue to remember you before God and ask Him to restore you to health.

Do not be afraid. One of the most repeated words God speaks to His people when He draws near is fear not. Even after a long silence, His first word to those who were waiting was fear not, for your prayer is heard. That is true for you now. He hears you.

Take encouragement to keep praying and not give up. There was a man in Scripture who prayed for years for a son, and God heard that persistent prayer and answered in His perfect time. Persistence is not a burden to God. He invites it. Keep bringing this need before Him again and again.

We are asking the Lord to reveal Himself to you as your healer. That is one of His names, the Lord who heals. Whatever our need is, that is what He desires to become to us. He is not distant from physical suffering. The promise is that the Son of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, like the sunrise bringing light and healing after a long night. He has shown strength with His arm, He lifts up the lowly, and His mercy is on those who fear Him. He is able to work through the medicine and the care you are receiving and to bring restoration in a way that amputation is not required.

As you pray for healing, seek not only healing itself but the Healer. God has delivered us not only from our enemies and from fear, but for a purpose, that we might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness, which means living in a right relationship with Him. More than just relief for the body, He wants to give you wholeness of heart and life through Jesus, whose name means the Lord is salvation. Bring your whole life to Him, be open to all He wants to do in you, and trust Him with the outcome.

We pray now for you. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You and ask for Your mercy and healing power upon this leg. Lord, we ask that You would cause the infection or injury to respond to medicine and to treatment from the outside, that healing would come and that the leg would be spared. Take away fear and fill this heart with peace and trust in You. Reveal Yourself as the Lord our healer, and draw this life into a deeper trust in Jesus for salvation and for daily strength to serve You in holiness and righteousness.
