Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Have you not heard how the Apostle says, "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair"? Your body groans under heavy burdens, and the physicians have failed you, treating you as a mere object of gain rather than a soul in need of healing. But do not let your heart be swallowed up by bitterness against them. The best physician is He who permits trials for the perfecting of the soul. Through suffering, Christ Himself learned obedience, and having been made perfect, He became the source of salvation. So too in your anguish there is a divine work, if you receive it with patience.

True long-suffering is like a spark falling into the deep: it is easily quenched, and the soul remains undisturbed. Armies, wealth, walls and weapons count nothing beside it. Do not be provoked by how they treat you, nor think evil of them. Love is not puffed up; it does not seek its own. It may be that God, in His wisdom, delays the healing you seek, not to abandon you but to draw you nearer to Himself, to teach you to trust not in physicians or princes, but in the living God. The woman of Canaan had to wait and cry out before her daughter was healed: not because she was unworthy, but because persistent faith is of great price.

Do not say you are worth nothing. The Son of God died for you, and if He counts you precious, who shall despise you? Even those who seem to prosper in their injustice are storing up wrath for themselves, but the one who endures suffering with hope is being conformed to Christ. Offer up your pains as a sacrifice of praise; let your tears be a prayer. I shall entreat the Lord with you and for you, that He may grant you relief according to His will, and that your second opinion may bring wise counsel. But above all, may He grant you the peace that passes understanding, so that whether in the body or in the spirit, you may glorify Him who works all things together for good to those who love Him.

It is a bitter thing to be treated as a case and not a person, to have your careful labor ignored by the very one who is supposed to help. That kind of disregard cuts deeply, and the physical agony you are enduring only compounds the wound. The frustration and heartbreak you feel are not the marks of a crank; they are the honest cries of someone who is bearing an immense load.

We live in a world where things are not as they ought to be. Your body’s struggle, the malfunction of intricate systems, the gallstones, the kidney stress, the pain that isolates you in your own apartment, it all traces back to a creation that groans under the weight of humanity’s ancient rebellion. Sickness and death and the callousness of institutions are not God’s design. They are intruders, and your longing to simply have the problem fixed is a longing for the world to be set right. That is a holy longing.

The love the Spirit produces in us is a love that suffers long. It is not a passive resignation. It is the active, enduring capacity to keep pressing forward in the face of devastating setbacks and profound pain. What you are doing, researching your own case, advocating for your safety against a test that could cause real harm, seeking a second opinion, refusing to give up, that is not a lack of faith. That love that keeps fighting for life and truth, even when you feel you are worth nothing to the doctors, is evidence that He is sustaining you. It is a mark of His work in you.

Do not believe the lie that your worth is determined by how a surgeon treats you. Your worth is declared from a throne where the One who made the heavens understands your frame completely. You have a High Priest who is not unable to sympathize with your weaknesses. He knew what it was to be misjudged, to have His body broken, and to feel forsaken. He hears the cry for help that comes from a place of utter desperation. When the battle is fierce, and the enemy feels like a flood of physical pain and systemic indifference, the simple cry of trust in God moves His heart. Cry out to Him. Be bold about it. He is not put off by your anguish. He invites you to come and obtain mercy and find grace to help in this very time of need.

This present agony is not the end of the story. There is a future where pain, suffering, and tears are not just managed but are utterly abolished. You will not hurt like this forever. A day is coming when there will be no more malfunctioning sphincters, no poisoned organs, no flaming nerves, and no need for brassieres or apartment walls to feel safe. The former things, all this relentless suffering that is the fruit of a broken world, will pass away. You will stand in a body that works in perfect obedience to God, in a world where righteousness dwells. Let that future anchor your soul even as you fight the present battle. We are praying that you will be upheld, that the second opinion will bring wisdom, and that you will know the presence of the One who is your true help.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this incredibly difficult and painful season. It is clear that your suffering is not only physical but deeply emotional and spiritual as well, and we have lifted every detail of your situation before the Lord—your frustration with the medical system, the agony of feeling unseen and undervalued, the fear of further harm, and the weariness of carrying such a heavy burden alone.

We have prayed for wisdom and clarity for you as you seek a second opinion, asking God to guide your steps to a compassionate and competent physician who will honor your voice and prioritize your well-being. We’ve asked Him to intervene in the confusion surrounding your test results, that the truth of your condition would be revealed without further delay or dismissiveness. We’ve also prayed for protection over your body—especially your lungs, kidneys, and throat—asking God to guard you from harm and to bring healing to every area affected by acid exposure and medical neglect.

Most of all, we’ve prayed for your heart. It is understandable to feel abandoned, even by God, when the pain doesn’t stop and the answers don’t come. Yet we believe He sees you, hears you, and is working even now—perhaps in ways you cannot yet see. We’ve asked Him to remind you of your worth, which is not defined by the opinions of others but by the love of Christ, who suffered for you and understands your pain. We’ve prayed for comfort in your isolation, for strength to keep fighting, and for the peace that surpasses understanding to fill your spirit.

If God has moved in your situation since you first posted, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report—whether it’s a breakthrough in your medical care, a moment of unexpected peace, or even just a small sign that you are not forgotten. If, however, the struggle continues, please know that we are still here. You do not have to carry this alone. Post your request again, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God is faithful even when the road is long.

May the Lord bless you with His presence in tangible ways this week. May He open doors that no one can shut, provide advocates who will fight for you, and pour out His grace to sustain you. We pray all these things in the powerful and compassionate name of Jesus.
