Continued prayer for ongoing harassment

Disciple of Prayer
Here I am again, I've done all things imaginable to be steadfast in this situation. I cannot sleep in my room any longer, I don't have a life in my home. This man/demon has continued to torment me for the past 9 months relentlessly. This is a male neighbor upstairs directly on top of me. He’s dedicated his entire life harassing me. I have a ###-year-old mother that I take care of, this situation is taking a toll on not only me but her as well. It hasn't gotten to the point that he stays up all night banging, stomping, knocking whatever he can think of that would disturb my peace. Last week I decided that when he arrives home from work I would leave my room meaning I cannot sleep or lounge in my room, this has been everyday for a week, I've had to sleep on my living room floor every night. On the 4th night I had just fallen asleep when I saw a black figure out of the corner of my eye, I literally felt its breath against my face. I saw it twice, when I tried to stand up or open my eyes my body felt paralyzed, as soon as I came out of it, I immediately stood up and prayed and rebuked the spirit, I opened my front door and commanded the spirit to leave. I've already anointed my home with blessed oil before I moved in and afterwards. I feel a spirit of rage and anger around me, I’ve also decided to fast daily to get more strength and guidance from God. I feel defeated and no I'm not moving because I cannot afford to and also I’m sick of the devil winning. All I ask is that the prayer warriors continue to pray for my mother and I. God bless

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The torment you are experiencing is not merely physical but deeply spiritual, and we recognize the enemy’s relentless attacks against your peace, your home, and your family. The harassment you describe—both from your neighbor and the dark spiritual presence you’ve encountered—is a direct assault from the forces of evil, and we take this seriously. The Word of God declares in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is not just a battle against a man, but against the demonic forces that may be influencing him and seeking to destroy your life.

We must first address the spiritual oppression you are facing. The black figure you saw, the paralysis you experienced, and the oppressive atmosphere in your home are clear signs of demonic activity. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use every tactic—including weariness, fear, and despair—to break your spirit. But we serve a God who is greater than any demonic force. 1 John 4:4 reminds us, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* You are not alone in this fight, and the victory is already yours through Christ Jesus.

We rebuke the spirit of harassment, rage, and torment that has infiltrated your home. In the name of Jesus, we command every demonic force to cease its activity against you and your mother. We declare that your home is a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The anointing oil you have used is a symbol of the Holy Spirit’s presence and protection, but we must also stand firm in our authority in Christ. James 4:7 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* You have already taken steps to resist, and we encourage you to continue doing so with even greater boldness.

The fasting you have committed to is a powerful spiritual discipline, and we believe God will honor your sacrifice by giving you clarity, strength, and breakthrough. Fasting humbles us before God and sharpens our spiritual sensitivity, allowing us to hear His voice more clearly. We encourage you to pair your fasting with consistent prayer, worship, and meditation on Scripture. Psalm 91 is a powerful passage to declare over your life and your mother’s: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"* Speak this over your home daily, and let it be a reminder that God is your protector.

We must also address the toll this is taking on your mother. It is heartbreaking to see the enemy target the vulnerable, but we know that God is her defender as well. We pray that He will strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually during this time. Psalm 34:19 says, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* God sees her suffering, and He will not abandon her. We encourage you to continue caring for her with love and patience, trusting that God will sustain both of you.

We understand your frustration and exhaustion, but we urge you not to grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy wants you to feel defeated, but we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). You mentioned that you refuse to move because you are tired of the devil winning. This is a powerful stance of faith! Do not underestimate the power of your resolve to stand firm. The enemy may have temporary victories, but the war has already been won at the cross. Colossians 2:15 tells us, *"Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* Jesus has already disarmed the enemy, and we walk in that victory.

We also want to address the practical steps you can take alongside your spiritual warfare. While we believe in the power of prayer and spiritual authority, we also recognize that God often works through practical means. Have you considered involving law enforcement or your landlord to address the harassment from your neighbor? The Bible instructs us to submit to governing authorities (Romans 13:1), and it is not a sign of weakness to seek help from those God has placed in positions of authority. If your neighbor’s actions are illegal or violate your lease agreement, you have the right to report them. This is not about taking matters into your own hands but about using the resources God has provided to protect yourself and your mother.

We also encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers. Spiritual battles are not meant to be fought alone. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Surround yourself with a community of faith who can pray with you, encourage you, and stand in agreement for your breakthrough. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest tactics, but God has designed us to thrive in community.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister and their mother to You, knowing that You see every tear, every moment of exhaustion, and every attack of the enemy. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We declare that this home is Your dwelling place, and no demonic force has the right to oppress or torment those who belong to You.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of harassment, rage, anger, and torment that has been unleashed against them. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We break every assignment of the enemy over their lives, their home, and their peace. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this home, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Lord, we ask that You strengthen them with Your might. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them boldness, wisdom, and discernment to stand firm in this battle. We pray that You would give them rest—both physically and spiritually. Father, we ask that You heal any areas of weariness, fear, or despair in their hearts. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, and that You will never leave nor forsake them.

We pray for their mother, Lord. Comfort her, strengthen her, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way. Protect her from the enemy’s attacks and give her peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You would surround them both with Your angels, guarding them day and night.

Father, we also ask that You intervene in the situation with their neighbor. If it is Your will, soften his heart and bring conviction to his spirit. If he is being influenced by demonic forces, we ask that You break those chains and set him free. We pray that he would come to know You, Lord, and that his life would be transformed by Your love.

Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that this battle belongs to You, and we trust You to fight on their behalf. Give them the strength to stand firm, the faith to believe in Your promises, and the perseverance to outlast the enemy’s attacks. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to stand firm, dear one. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is a defeated foe. Your breakthrough is coming, and we believe that God will turn this situation around for your good and His glory. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary. Your victory is assured in Christ.

Dear friend,

We're right there with you, feeling your exhaustion and frustration. It's been 9 long months of relentless harassment, and it's taken a toll on both you and your mother. We can't imagine the sleepless nights, the constant fear, and the sheer weariness you must be feeling. But remember, you're not alone. We're here, praying with you, standing with you, and fighting alongside you.

We want to encourage you to keep up the good fight. You've been steadfast, and that's a testament to your faith and resilience. Keep resisting the devil, and he will flee from you. Keep fasting, praying, and anointing your home. The enemy may be loud and persistent, but God is greater. He sees you, He hears you, and He's fighting for you.

We also want to remind you of the power of community. Don't isolate yourself. Reach out to other believers, share your burden, and ask for their prayers and support. We're also here for you, ready to lift you up in prayer and encouragement.

Keep declaring the victory that's already yours in Christ. The enemy may be causing chaos, but he's a defeated foe. Your breakthrough is coming, and God will turn this situation around for your good and His glory.

Stay strong, dear one. Keep fighting, keep trusting, and keep standing firm. Your victory is assured in Christ.
