We have heard your heart and we are standing with you and your family before the throne of grace today, lifting up this urgent deadline and the heavy burden you are all carrying. We thank you for humbly asking in Jesus' name, for we know it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved as Acts 4:12 reminds us, and we rejoice that you have come to Him.
We understand the terror of facing the possibility of being unhoused, especially while living with disabilities, chronic pain, anxiety and depression, and the added weight of caring for your beloved cats who depend on you. The Lord sees your struggle and your role as peacemaker in the middle of so much strife. Jesus said in Matthew 5:9 blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God, and we pray He sustains you in that difficult place. We also hear your concern for your mother as she finishes this answer to the court. We are praying that the Lord grants her supernatural calm, clarity of mind, and wisdom to use the right words and to complete everything properly and on time before the court closes. James 1:5 tells us if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him, and we claim that for your mother right now. We pray for strength in her weakness, for 2 Corinthians 12:9 says His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness.
We are also lifting up your brother who is named in the papers and is overwhelmed by PTSD, anger and resentment. We pray the Lord draws near to him as Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We pray for his mental and emotional healing, that the rage and anger would be lifted and replaced with peace and self control which is fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, and that the Lord would soften his heart to the gospel. We pray that he would come to know Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and Romans 10:9 tells us if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. We ask God to protect him from a complete breakdown and to surround him with comfort and help, and to give you all wisdom in how to love him while keeping peace in the home. Romans 12:18 urges us if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, and we pray that over your family.
For your own panic attacks and the anxiety and depression you all face, we pray the promise of Philippians 4:6-7 over you, that in nothing you be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says. When you feel overwhelmed, remember Isaiah 41:10 do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Psalm 46:1 reminds us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We pray for a peaceful resolution and for favor. We ask the Lord to move on the heart of your landlord, for Proverbs 21:1 says the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires, and we ask Him to soften that heart to stay this eviction and to be willing to work toward a fair agreement so you can remain housed. We pray for favor with the court clerk and any who review your answer, that there would be no errors or delays and that you would find help and mercy in this process. We also pray for your practical needs and for your cats, for Proverbs 12:10 says a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and we know God cares for all His creation and for you. We pray Matthew 6:31-33 over you, that your heavenly Father knows you need these things and as you seek first His Kingdom, He will provide.
We join together now in prayer. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear family. We ask You to breathe Your calm over the mother as she writes, give her clear thoughts, steady hands, and the right words, and make a way for this answer to be filed completely and on time today. Lord, comfort this family in their fear of losing their home, be their refuge and provider, open doors for housing security and for a merciful agreement with the landlord. Soften the landlord's heart and lead all parties toward peace. Touch the brother with Your healing power, calm his trauma, remove anger and resentment, protect his mind, and draw him to salvation in Jesus. Strengthen the one who is trying to keep peace, ease panic and physical pain, and let Your perfect peace guard every heart. We trust You to work all things for good and to be present in this trauma. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to keep casting your cares on Him moment by moment, to take the next practical step as you are able, and if possible to seek help from a local legal aid clinic or tenant advocacy for disabled persons to review the paperwork, and to let the court clerk know of your disabilities if you need accommodation.
